   Service is very slow.. Omy goodness.. Hardly 3 or 4 tables running at the time I went. Taking order took 15 mins, after placing order for 1 Dosa and dum biryani it took half hour..I can understand may be there is one chef, they should atleast improve order taking fast. Food Is tasting great. Payment system is very bad, I don't know they can simply place a card machine to tab.

   This restaurant was always in my bucket list to try. We ate their Podi masala dosa which was full of flavours and crisp, mix uttapam which was served with 3 different flavourful chutneys, Idli and vada sambhar, it was so soft that it reminds me of India. Their menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Service is quick, and the ambience feels casual and welcoming. While sometimes crowded, the food quality and taste make it worth visiting for a satisfying South Indian meal. Here the food gives the taste of India

   Dined in with 3 of my other friends and we all enjoyed the food. The madurai mutton kari dosai and mutton chukka took me back to Tamil Nadu in the first bite. Chicken kothu can be improved as close competitors in the area serve arguably better ones. Service was really great and the team's enthusiasm is much appreciated!

   A dosa place away from home. It was nostalgic. The dosa. The songs on the screens. The authentic taste. We had a memorable occasion. Felt like we were in Chennai and not in Birmingham. Will definitely recommend to our friends too. The one star missing is for the fly I saw......

   I had a very disappointing experience at Chennai Dosa in Birmingham. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful from the moment we walked in, which really set the wrong tone. Their payment system is very poor and inconvenient, making the whole process unnecessarily stressful. As for the food, it was nowhere near the quality I expected – bland, not fresh, and definitely not worth the price. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and let down. I would not recommend this place and won’t be returning.

   Quite tidy and welcoming little gem very family friendly and for larger groups. The server seemed happy to help although there was a bit of a language barrier so half of the times we had to translate for her, not a big deal as she was absolutely lovely! The food? Where do I start? Absolutely brilliant. Fresh, flavoured to perfection, crispy, sweet, spicy,.. I could go on for ages. Absolutely amazing I’m not usually lost of words but this time I definitely am. The only down bit was the hour wait and the food didn’t come all at the same time unfortunately. They seemed to focus more on delivery than our food at one point. Overall very enjoyable and delicious!

   Ordered food for 25th Dec and the condition in which that food has arrived is horrible! The curry and gravy has leaked from the container. The biryani is soaked in raitha and gravy !!! Terrible service !! Shame on you Chennai Dosa for such ridiculous customer service.!!! Taste is excellent but terrible delivery service.

   Food is less spicy but the taste is good. I understand some are frustrated with the waiting time, I have been twice and there was not more than 20mins wait time. They have more crowd and less staff which makes the service delay and another thing only cash is accepted no cards. If these 2 can be changed it would be a great place.

   Experience ruined by abysmal service. Gave my order to another table as they were either of the same ethnicity or background rather than fulfilling my order. I watched my partner eating food as I waited for mine. Shame as the food we did have was good, lost my appetite after having to wait for my food and then nothing but a blame game on the chef when the owner/worker/waiter just watched and served their own friends. Racist as I’m not of South Indian decent.

   Chennai dosa is an excellent restaurant which serves quality food at quite reasonable prices I would say! I have been there a number of times and have never been disappointed with their food! They always have consistency across all their food! We tried the paneer, lamb curry, paratha, Masala dosa and mango lassi. Excellent food! The only slight inconvenience would be that they do not accept card payment.
