Visited this cafe yesterday and enjoyed one of their smaller full English breakfasts. The ingredients were good quality, but more importantly they were cooked really well and in a way that avoided the heavy, greasiness you often find in other cafes. Perfectly toasted thick white bread too! The owners also accommodated my request for a poached egg instead of fried eggs Enjoyed with a decent tasting coffee. I’ve already recommended to others and would happily visit again

We recently moved to the area and are trying to find our new local cafe. This place was cosy and there are some different things on the menu. The person running the place was tentative and lovely. The food was fresh and tasty.

Went for a full English breakfast and whilst it was a little more expensive than a Whetherspoons brekkie, it was definitely worth the couple of quid more. Tasty bacon and sausage, well cooked eggs and lovely crispy hash browns. Washed down with a lovely cup of coffee. Will definitely be back again soon.

Pros - the food was lovely, of good quality and very filling. The staff were polite, the venue is lovely. Cons - we waited 1 hour and 10 mins for food. We only had a breakfast and pancakes. Now there was around 12 customers the whole time. For the first 20 minutes only 1 member of staff. However I do think an additional member of staff would have been beneficial to cope and get the wait times down. Also we asked for brown sauce for the breakfast, this never came. Now I appreciate being busy but to totally forget. Overall we will return but just bare in mind there might be a wait on food. It was lovely though.

Been here twice now - my husband 3 times! - and have to say it is a gem of a place for Bolsover. The service is so great - friendly and helpful and you can call in advance to book a table and place an order if you are in a hurry. Very accommodating. But the main thing is the food! Love the menu variety and the first time we went I had the spaghetti bolognese - gorgeous. And my husband had the steak, cooked to perfection how he likes it. The second time we went we pre ordered 3 breakfasts for our little group and top notch - the sausages were great quality and it was beautiful. Highly recommended and will be our go to for food.
