Just read about you in the derbyshire times, what's happening lads.? Come on, get a grip, Nissar used to make the best biriani for miles when he had it, never had one like it since from anywhere, it was very different to all the other places and absolutely beautiful. Start doing gluten free and I'll give it a try. Always ordered when you was in town. It's good to see local lads doing OK but get Nissar to give you his version of a biriani, haven't seen one like it since.

First delivery from the New Eastern Tandoori and we weren't disappointed. Food arrived promptly (especially for a Saturday), was piping hot and tasted amazing - great value for money too. Definitely my first choice from now on.

I've been going to New Eastern for years it's the best takeaway curry in Chesterfield by far. They are friendly, delivery is what they say it will be & food is amazing.I don't like meat in curry but love the sauce in chicken balti, so they would just give me the sauce & have now put balti sauce on the menu which i highly recommend, If there is anything in a dish you don't like they are very accommodating. I won't go anywhere else for an Indian takeaway & missed it terribly when they closed for refurbishment. My family & friends all love New eastern too, it really is the best food, that's why they have stayed open for so many years speaks for it's self.

1st and last time ordering from here. Ordered 4 different dishes and they were all pretty much the same taste and colour...Couldn't differentiate between them. Butter chicken was nothing like. The sauce in all the dishes was very salty, oily and basically horrible...like sauce from a jar. Couldn't even find any meat in them. Only decent thing was the poppadoms. Very disappointed. Most of it went in the bin. Quite pricey too...I don't mind paying if the food is good, but this unfortunately wasn't

Excellent food but serving half portions. Rather pay more and have enough food. I felt really cheated.

This was poor quality. Was really looking forward but the food was substandard. Pickle tray and pops as expected but the starter was bland. Main meal was bland, merely a tin of tomatoes chucked over pieces of chicken. Rice was boiled not fried. Most of it it went in the bin. Waste of £30

First visit. Very clean inside and staff very polite but no-one wearing masks. Other reviewers’ comments about ‘Dolmio tomato sauce-based’ were correct. You certainly wouldn’t expect Chicken Vindaloo to have such a base, and although the food was piping hot (plus-point), the taste was not Indian in the way you would expect. A rather odd metallic aftertaste began to emerge after a while, so it went in the bin. Sorry, New Eastern - you’re not recommended.

We ordered it to try, was good but to justify the price to the food we won't go again. Reasons are this, I know it's not been open for long and I think prices have gone up to the expensive area. Got price off the menu and didn't match plus we are in the 12 pounds over under 3 miles area. The curry was to tomato(tangy) and coudnt taste rest of the spices. Meat was spot on to be honest. Amount was decent. I don't like place putting jargon on there menus either rice is one dish! Not side or main. Then we ordered a side rice and didn't get it. Or say this or that. Especially dishes reaching ten pounds!! I want that in a sit down restaurant thank you!! The price put us off and the tomatoes and missing are dish. They ram louds of onions etc in there dishes... Hard to find one with just sauce in yet. Cons (price, to tangy, dishes missing seems a normal takeaway to me nothing special. No insentives when spending £30 on three people no starters some sides and mains only. Pros (meat decent, veg rice more flavered then curry. Quick to deliver.
