Absolutely disgusting food! The chips were cold and soggy. The kids mini fish had zero fish in it and was solid batter. The kids battered sausage wasn't battered and was cold. Also missing items. Tried to contact them multiple times but no answer! Would not recommend, it's all gone in the bin
Usually go here on a regular basis however we went there yesterday for home just cutting up the sausage for this kids when I noticed abit of black , cut it open some more and it was all black like mouldy , fish was all batter and the chips were rock hard and stale
So, it had been a while since I had had any fish and chips and I was just fancying some. So, I decided to try Handsworth Fish Bar.......... to be honest, I wish I hadn't bothered. OK, so the fish, while on the slightly small side, tasted fine. It wasn't horrible, but it certainly could have been better. The battered sausage tasted flat, but that was saved by the curry sauce being quite nice. The chips, however.........dam, those were bad. Lots of black bits and eyes left in them with hardly any taste. What taste there was was weak and flat. They need a LOT of salt. Also, everything was cold. I ordered via Ubereats and the driver came directly to my house, it took him just over 5 minutes, the food should not have been that temperature unless it was already cold when it was packed. Other than the curry sauce everything else was a massive disappointment. I'll not be ordering from here again and I don't recommend you do either.
This is a large chips fresh out the fryer apparently nope this is a small chips stale and chewy the fish cakes were stale and the battered sausage was soggy. Mmmm it was delightful NOT it was disgusting and will never order from here again. Shame really this place used to be nice
Just don't bother, absolute shambles. Not sure whether to laugh or be angry! How you're still in business is just beyond me. £3.45 for a couple of chips, a small sausage and splash of curry sauce, on a tray which is no bigger than the length of a fork! Owner should be ashamed, cheapskate.
