   This place used to be really good for food but it’s since gone downhill. They don’t put the same effort anymore in making food taste and look nice. Food is expensive and portions are really small. We ordered a Sunday roast that had literally 2 slices of really dry turkey, one tiny shrunken carrot, one parsnip, 2 small and inedible potatoes. It’s infuriating. When you pay so much for food this shouldn’t happen. Vegetables especially I don’t get why they are so tight with it. It doesn’t cost them anything to add a few more to make the plate look better and more filling. We complained, we got offered some dessert for free. We had no apology from the manager. Few minutes later some other customers sat at the table next to us received their roasts and they also complained about the quality and quantity of the food. So it goes to show that they took absolutely no notice of our previous complaint.

   Fabulous and phenomenal food. Worth every single penny. Even though I'd booked for the wrong weekend, the accomodated us. Staff were perfect and even boxed up the meals we couldn't finish. Dessert, out of this world.

   We recently moved to the area and are trying out a few of the local pubs/restaurants. Lovely pub inside, beer garden looks very well set up for good weather. The food was absolutely great, one of the best pub steaks we've ever had, quality food and service. They know what they are doing.

   Visited ..22.05.24 .. Please avoid at all costs.. served lukewarm burgers with pink.. soft meat.. so uncooked they had leaked pink juice in to the bread buns.. steak and chips were the opposite… really well done ! Female staff member said it was just how they serve them ..not bothered at all..

   Came here for a Sunday roast catch up with friends. The food was tasty. The staff were nice. We had beef, pork, and butternut squash roast. The Yorkshire puddings were massive and very pleased with them. The food was very good, but I'm not giving a 5 as I wasn't blown away. But it was by no means bad. Very nice spot. We also had pudding which was nice, we had the fruit crumble, sticky toffee and ice cream

   Food was pre-ordered but they didn't have some of the desserts we ordered. Not all of us were asked if we wanted an alternative and so didn't get one. 2 of the children's desserts were forgotten until we asked for them. All in all quite disorganised. On the plus side the vegetables were nice (as a vegetarian, can't comment on the meat dishes)

   We came for lunch on the spur of the moment and had a lovely meal. The pie was delicious and the menu was varied with veggie options. If you are hungry the portions are massive! The staff were very friendly and helpfully. We will definitely eat here again to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

   Four of us dined here this evening, they were happy to provide plates when two of us wanted to share, they adapted the menu to meet our needs and we were served quickly and efficiently by friendly, helpful staff. The meals were delicious, only downside was a bone in my chicken pie, so be careful people eating pies here! Calamari starters were tasty and the desserts were excellent. The hot chocolate drink was really good and chocolatey without all the squirty cream other places think it needs. The special cocktail was an orange-tini, so glad I tried it, it was special! I'd happily eat here again.
