Had hot sandwiches today to take away but they were cold when I got them home. Would be better to wrap them in foil.
Called in while walking past in the snow and it smelled really good so I went I and ordered a large sausage bacon and egg and a bacon roll. I only live a couple of minutes away so I waited until I got home to tuck in , what a disappointment overcooked black hard sausage and overdone burnt hard bacon. The guy must have this in the warmer all morning and must have known what he was serving. So it all went into the bin except the eggs, but an egg sandwich wasn’t really what I wanted and paid for. If it hadn’t been for the weather I would have taken them back.
Perfect little sandwhich shop, fair prices along with great food. Would recommend to any lads on a day out.
Nice little cob shop. Had roast meat sandwiches and decent looking homemade pasties and sausages rolls. Friendly service as always
Reading other reviews I think I must have caught him on an off day. He could barely bring himself to speak to me. I asked for a sausage and egg on white. He wrote S & E on the bag, went in the back and returned with my butty immediately . I should have known. Paid my 3 quid. Got it back and opened it. 2 overcooked sausages cut in half. No egg. Some watery tomato juice that turned the bread soggy that I didn't ask for. I appreciate lots of the other comments are positive but this was my experience and I shan't be going again, nor recommending a friend.
Very nice place and food, parking was a hard cos had to park down a lane at side of shop. Will be back again next time we are there to see relatives.
Beef, stilton and sauteed onion cob. Plenty of meat and just enough stilton without being overpowering. Really enjoyed it.
Not a fan at all. Ordered roast pork with everything I got a nice slab of the strongest crackling ever just placed in the middle of my (breadcake) was nice don't get me wrong but very little effort put into making it clearly!
Top sandwhich and cob shop fresh cooked meat and even home made pasties good valu for money as well
