   Came here on Halloween and had a lovely meal, surprisingly good pizza. Staff were kind and attentive, the pub is old timey and had an old fashioned feel (in a good way of course), and they’re pet friendly too. Only downsides I can think of was the service was slow at times, which I think was partly due to it being a busy night, and with us being seated in the corner behind a partial wall. The price were quite steep too

   Lunch here after a walk at Wentworth Woodhouse. We all enjoyed our meals. Piping hot , good sized portions and they were all really tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be returning ourselves

   I couldn’t fault it. I had the best chip butter I have ever had and the following night I had meat balls, and a lemon eton mess. Everything is homemade and very tasty. In a time that most places are struggling with chefs I would say definitely keep this one and the team in the kitchen. Great service and a lovely atmosphere.

   A proper pub with proper home cooked food. Really reasonable pricing and brilliant that there is a dog friendly section of the pub. So refreshing to go to a pub and it not be frozen food warmed up. We’ll definitely be back.

   Had a lovely evening meal with the family , everyone enjoyed it , the food was good , price was just right, staff are friendly and helpful. On a nice day the garden has plenty of tables, and food is served outside if you like

   We ate here tonight with friends. It's the first time I've been in this pub. We pre-booked a table, it's a good job the place was rammed. The table was only set for two people so the waitress had to quickly set 2 more places. Three of us ordered steak and ale pie and one ordered duck breast. The food arrived relatively quickly and was hot and tasty with really good portion size. My husband ordered cheesecake and he enjoyed it. I had hot chocolate and my friend had coffee and mince pie. Prices were a little on the steep side. Apparently the gents toilets were disgraceful, dirty and smelly. The ladies toilets were better but could certainly do with some repairs and a refresh. The car park was busy and it's a little tight on turning space. When it came to making payment the chip and pin machine had run out of charge so we had to go to the bar so that the machine could be used quickly near the charger this was a bit of a trauma because the staff couldn't reach the charging port it was too high so they fetched a stool to stand on. Overall a bit disorganised and we won't be rushing back.

   Pick here for Sunday lunch as they had plenty of outdoor space. Excellent meal but was disappointed that no one working for the pub had a mask on. We didn't feel comfortable and probably won't go again.
