Stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised, the roast pork sarnies was amazing. Nice little hidden gem and will return

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat as all the garden centres we usually use were full due to the rubbish weather so headed Dronfield way and saw a sign for this place, a quick Google showed the reviews to be good so we thought why not. The place was empty when we got there with a few walkers sat in an outside covered area. We sat down and eventually someone came and gave us menus. Then a young lady, who i assume was new as she seemed to know little of what anyone asked her, took our order. We had coffee and a soft drink and my Husband who is vegan ordered a jacket potato with beans, he is vegan so wasn't much choice and I opted for a fruit scone with jam and cream. She had to come back to use twice, once to ask what it was we wanted on the jacket potato and another to ask what i wanted with my scone. A short time later the food came out. Little salad with the jacket potato was nice and fresh but the jacket potato had been cooked for way too long and Husband who is used to eating jacket potatoes as it's a staple vegan food said it was the worst he'd ever had and struggled to eat it, a bit like eating sand it was so dry and no vegan spread was to be had. My scone was much the same, it was clearly a few days old and the jam was very poor quality and i was given about a teaspoon of cream. Going to pay was an endeavour in itself. You pay at the shop side of the cafe but we couldn't get her attention as she was in the back, then when we did she had to go into the kitchen for about 5 minutes to ascertain what it was she was charging us for. They need a better system. The only good point to the dinner out was the price. Won't be returning, which is a shame cause we really like to support small businesses.

The best latte and breakfast we’ve had in ages. Such a warm and cosy feel to this place, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Sweet little cows on the way out as well.

Really nice. The meat was exceptional. We had the sharing board and it could have done with a bit more variety such as a bit if salad. But very nice.

What a sweet little find - The food here is just fantastic. We came for lunch, and the setting in the outside barn is just great, so open and peaceful. I'd recommend looking at what's available on the specials board for sure, I had a (generous portion of) sticky rump beef wraps. Honestly, it took a little longer to come... But we weren't in a hurry, and it was worth the wait! Food at its freshest and finest. The guys working here are also really friendly and helpful.
