Came in today for dinner as I remember this chippy from living round in the area years ago and was passing on my way home. To be greeted by a dirty look from the Fish Fryer Lady! I bought Mini fish chips & peas got home and was very disappointed batter was soggy and just pulled away from the fish. The chips some were cooked some were hard peas no flavour just plain mush. Wouldn’t expect people to be so miserable this close to Christmas. Won’t be returning

Called in here we are not from this area, we was hungry and was on our way to a burial from church. Called in not many people in, everything looked and smelt fresh. Couldn’t believe the prices, so low the cheapest chippy we’ve seen. Fish cake, Chips a side and drink £4.50. They taste lovely, the fish cake was lovely. As I said we don’t come From around here and places don’t tend to stay nice all the time you get good and bad days everywhere, but from our first visit this place is definitely worth the stop. Nice Chippy, nice guy.

Food is good there. Fair price too. I hade fish and chips takeaway two or three times from there. Service is pleasant and quick. Not suitable for eating in.

Had cod and chips. Offered 3 sizes of chips cone 1.20, small, 1.80 and large 2.20. Went for cone which was still plentiful for a lunch. Cod was cooked to order which is fine. 5.50 and it was huge. I joked that I asked for cod not whale. It was cooked well. I never eat the batter as I believe it is just a vessel for cooking the fish but to those who do it was nice a crispy in parts

Absolutely disgusting. Never known this place provide decent food always overly battered large fish ends up being small fish, pouring grease burnt scabby chips. Waste of money! Would not recommend!!
