After trying various pubs for a Christmas meal with friends we tried Turnip & Thyme this year and everyone was glad we did. The Christmas menu was reasonably priced and the food was fresh, tasty and more than enough. Looking forward to returning, not just for Christmas!
Turnip & Thyme provided our catering for our wedding in May. The food was exactly what we wanted and tasted amazing. They were responsive and helpful while preparing for the day and surpassed our expectations. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. We would recommend having them catering for your event! Very nice restaurant, great service and brilliant food. Scallops cooked to perfection, mussels in Thai green sauce with just the right amount of heat and a lemon cheesecake with chocolate/orange ice-cream and meringue on top...divine
Very tasty “home cooking” style food (not haute cuisine).Very flavourful and unpretentious dishes with some interesting variety on the menu. Slightly overpriced for what it is and the vegetarian options are quite disappointing.

What a wonderful evening we had. We had an early table so we know we had to vacate at 7.15 so the next booking could arrive. The staff were brilliant, they juggled some tables around so we could stay and enjoy a pudding after a wonderful meal in which the chef had accommodated various dietary preferences. We will most definitely be coming back!

Such a gorgeous restaurant with incredible food - we had the pork belly and the lamb and it blew us away! The two women waiting on us were also incredible - thank you everyone! Edit: finally went for a roast and can confidently say it is the best roast in Sheffield!
Really enjoyed our meal here, been a couple if time already and booked to go again in a couple of weeks. Service was great and the food delicious, could easily have managed a larger calamari portion, the pork and lamb were delicious however my go to must have are the truffle chips. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely and that sauce was amazing. Looking forward to returning already.
