   Never open, Lost count of the amount of times we travelled down for breakfast and the place was closed. Only seem to open on football match days! Also once messaged to ask if they could accommodate 20 of us for Breakfast one Saturday morning for a birthday group and they never even replied so we went elsewhere. I refuse to go nowadays not that I could as they never open anyway.

   Had a lovely first visit to the Riverside Café with my partner after a long morning of shopping, and will definitely be visiting again. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was wonderful and friendly. There's even a nice outdoor section which overlooks the river, which is where we sat for our visit. Even though they were busy at the time, the staff were still lovely and friendly, and the service was still very quick. Would definitely recommend a visit!

   As a Bristol Rovers' supporter attending our match away against Sheffield Wednesday (1-1), I had a meal here beforehand. Initially I was told they had no meat & potato pie left but, I was called back as they had one last portion. Pleasantly-surprised that it was home-made, and that the accompanying chips were freshly-cut. It was also served with mushy peas and gravy. Delicious, plentiful and good value, plus there was a lovely atmosphere in there.

   Excellent food and friendly staff. Pro tip: get the bread toasted as, like all slices when confronted with liquid egg yolk, it will slowly disintegrate... The only other thing would be to ask something to which cyclists could lock their bikes, because it's a great mid-ride stop...

   Lovely cafe, I'd definitely recommend a visit. Bright and airy inside with huge windows letting in lots of light and loads of outdoor seating too. The team were all friendly and attentive, expertly handling difficult match-day customers with good humour. The food was delicious with good sized portions that made it great value for money so I'll be back for more twice-cooked chips soon.
