Great food, service iand restaurant. Staff went the extra mile to help celebrate a birthday. Bakewell tart needs a mention too. Note the Vindaloo is definitely hot

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Maazi Hathersage dining with another couple, and from start to finish it was exceptional. The warm welcome set the tone for what became a truly memorable meal. The service was attentive and friendly without ever feeling rushed, and the team struck the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. The food was outstanding every dish beautifully presented, full of rich flavour and perfectly spiced. The menu offers a superb mix of classic favourites and unique regional specialities, all prepared with clear care and quality ingredients. The sharing dishes worked brilliantly for our group, and every course was a talking point. The setting itself is elegant yet relaxed, making it ideal for an evening with friends. You can tell that Maazi take pride not only in their food but in the whole dining experience. A real gem in Hathersage highly recommended and without question one of the best dining spots in the Peak District.

Ordered a take-away after a leaflet menu had been posted at our caravan park in Hope. We ordered and paid online for delivery next evening. All delivery ok and on time. The delivery (set meal for 2) came in box and the driver called us once at reception. Meal contents came in the plastic microwaveable trays which was great as we didn't eat it straight away so could warm it up in microwave. Popudums were crisp (3) with onion tray. Bhaji and chicken pakora all good and tasty with the yogurt dip. 2 meals were great (tad watery but full of flavour) with 1 boiled rice, side dish and a plain naan bread (crisped up in toaster as that's how we like it. All good overall and will use again.

Our experience with this restaurant is somewhat different to the other reviews. We were recently in the area and had the works when we ordered: pickle tray, poppadoms, curry, rice, etc. I'm afraid the curry was extremely oily, the rice bland and unseasoned and the pickle tray watered down. We were very disappointed, particularly after choosing this restaurant based on the reviews. Perhaps it was a one off bad experience though.

We had a lovely meal here. Staff are really friendly, and the food arrived to us within a reasonable time! It was super tasty, so definitely recommend, and a lovely busy atmosphere even on a Tuesday evening!

We went to visit peak district and my nan wanted to eat halal curry. It had to be halal, so we drove to Maazi! With the help of google we selected this venue. We were served by Pooja and Sultan, very pleasant waiters who made mum comfort and happy. They are highly educated individuals. Thank you both! There was a auto rickshaw outside but it was broken and the seats were all wore out, otherwise we would have taken pictures.

Terrible, deeply disappointed, starters and mains lacked flavour and depth, no real punch in spice, staff have a wilful disregard for ethical and religious dietary requirements. Food is definitely not fresh and not halal, it's premade, tasteless and bland, dare I say it, my mum's is better!! Orange juice is from a cheap generic store brand, far from fresh. Is there any originality, I think not. The service was good though.

Been a few times and like the restaurant and the friendly welcome. The food is good and they have a good range of beer and an extensive speciality gin selection. Enjoyed my evening there!
