   Very good. Food was excellent - I had a steak and it was perfectly done. The sprouts to start were lovely too. Nice traditional pub with a fun atmosphere. Service was very welcoming and friendly, if slightly slow as they were very busy.

   Great place! We found The Scotmans Pack by accident but it was the most fortunate one. We went twice, first on Saturday and we were served by extremely helpfull Sylvia who took care for everything ❤️ we got crayons for our child and Sylvia helped us with reservation for Sunday. Food was so delicious that we decided to book for Sunday roast and that was the best decision during our short holiday in England. Awesome food. Three weeks later and I'm still impressed. On Sunday we were served by very thaughtfull Dani. Again everything was great.

   Really well situated to incorporate into a walk in and around stanage edge/hathersage. Certainly earns praise just for being able to supply a nice cool drink after a long hot walk. But aside from that, I do recommend the "duo of lamb" with two different cuts, both providing great flavour, but slightly different texture keeps the dishnexciting till the end. Even the initial skepticism at the peas being served as some kind of soup was allayed as it all went together really well, if you're a meat eater, give it a go. If you aren't give the cauliflower nuggets (starter) a go, very well presented with a suitable dose of flavor. Outdoor seating area is really nice on a warm day as well.

   Table was booked for 8 people at 4.30pm. Arrived early and table was ready. Staff very welcoming and not rushing you to order food but available for taking drinks orders. Food was of an excellent standard and quality. Value for money. Thank you Sylvia for serving our Sunday lunch and taking the time to split the bill. Definitely will return.

   Was very pleasantly surprised by this place. We got there early on a Sunday and there was a warm and welcoming feel to the pub. I had the Sunday roast lamb which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by equally well cooked sides. The staff were helpful and talkative and overall it felt like a brilliant pub with some brilliant food to accompany it. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus!
