    The food is excellent. Tasty, plentiful and freshly cooked from scratch, everything we ordered was absolutely top-notch. The service was friendly and attentive, the decor and ambience warm and modern. The Saffron is a big improvement on previous proprietors of this restaurant and we will definitely be returning.

    Since being under new management, we have tried a few takeaways from here recently, ordered directly through their own website, after my husband had eaten in the restaurant with friends and recommended it. The food was excellent every time, much fresher and tastier than others in town and was delivered promptly. We visited the restaurant with friends on Saturday evening and the food was again excellent and the service friendly and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. Such a shame that we were the only diners in the restaurant on a Saturday night though. This place is most definitely worth a visit!

    This is my new favourite Indian restaurant. Visited with friends and found the owner very attentive and friendly. The food is beautifully presented, smells heavenly and tastes authentic. I have never experienced such a divine curry (recommend the chicken Maharajah no 1) with the coconut rice. And the naan bread (peshwari) was full of fruit and spices. Unfortunately we were the only group in the restaurant, so it needs to get more well known, don't let this put you off though, try it and you will definitely go back again.
