Awful chicken , we can’t comprehend why is busy. Wrong order given, food cold and inedible - never again!
Ordered salt and pepper chips, the chips had no taste and very greasy. The food didn't smell like Chinese. Just smelt of grease. The chicken and sweetcorn soup looked like radiator water
I have copied my review from trust pilot in hopes more people might see this. I have been a loyal customer of this place for years. I poured half of my dish out into a bowl and when I went to look at the remainder there was a fly (which had clearly been cooked by the heat and ergo did not fly into the dish after it had been prepared) in my food. I rang the Chinese, apologetic for raising an issue to explain that I had found this. I was extremely polite considering this was disgusting. Obviously I had thrown the food away out of pure disgust. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive saying that she didn’t know why I would throw the food out as they obviously needed to see it. I ended up fishing it out of the bin to take it back. I continued to be extremely polite and was met with nothing but pure ignorance. I feel that any customer who had found a FLY in their food would be quite aggressive and I was the opposite as I had previously had great experiences with them. Will never be ordering from here ever again. Absolutely vile. And terrible customer service, I would never have left a bad review had they remedied the issue. When I went to show the food to the woman she shooed me away like I was nothing. Absolutely appalled.
Ordered two dishes with two fried rice at 6pm, told allow 30 minutes, phoned up after 50 minutes, was told driver was stuck in traffic at 6.45pm between Hartford & Leftwich. Food finally arrived at 19.05, at least it was hot, as for quality it can only be described as "diabolical", duck was stringy & tough, chicken for sweet & sour was tough as old boots & the pieces were huge. Sauces were very poor & bore no resemblance to what they were described as on the menu. I lived in China for 5 years back in the ,90,s and ate better food from street vendors. Will never use this business again & would advise everyone to avoid it.
When I moved to the area many moons ago, this place was my go to takeaway, with a fleet of white delivery cars just to keep up with the volume of orders from satisfied customers, but then it got taken over and the food became beyond poor! We stuck with them for while because we thought that this was down to growing pains, but no, the food remained disgusting! That was 15, 20 years ago but decided to order again recently because I figured that is they were still in business then things must have improved, but OMG NO! Absolutely disgusting, gave the whole order to the dog, but she wouldn't touch it either! How are they still in business after all this time? I guess they must have a second source of income. Anyone noticed that the review previous mine is 5 star? If you check this out they have done many reviews, all 5 star, just saying
We have ordered takeaways from here for a few years now and have never had a bad one. We are just tucking into one now as we speak and it is delicious! Piping hot on arrival, generous portions and really fresh. Would highly recommend. Sarah
Special chow mein was more like last weeks road kill, absolutely disgusting, salt and pepper chips hmmm not what I would call them, complete waste of £42, would not reccomend and certainly won't go there again.
