Ordered at the weekend. New to the area so trying all the food places out and never eaten here before. Well, I wont be ordering again. Food very bland, portion sizes very small. Normally the containers are filled to the top and for £14 which my special was i expected more as there wasn't a lot of meat in it. Keema rice completely tasteless. Not sure how they managed that. Husbands Tikka massala had about 4 pieces of meat in there and very watery tasteless sauce. The poppadoms tasted very stale and bitter like the oil was old. Same with the onion bhajis. Wish I had taken pictures now.

Ordered takeaway and what was delivered was absolutely shocking - the order was incomplete and what did arrive was awful. Tried to contact the restaurant but got no answer. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Added a photo of the King Prawn Puri which came with no sauce or puri bread. Won’t be ordering again. Cost was also very expensive- don’t mind paying for quality but this was shocking and certainly not quality.

Went on tuesdsy night food was terrible and very exspensive. Parked in the back car park. When i went into the shop you have to put your reg in so you dont get fined. I treied doing 10 times but there internet didnt work. so i asked the man to help he told me dont worry its okay he will finish it off for me. So now i have 100 pound fine and they wont anwser the phone. Also the service was awful very rude. Stay clear.

Got delivery and nice juicy hair in the curry & obviously cheap frozen chicken pieces used, asked for courier to collect & restaurant to refund.never again. Restaurant were unhelpful when I called to complain. Avoid! I use millennium balti in Runcorn usually and they are genuinely great but I worked till late and chose just eat and I’ll not use these ever again! They’re saying it’s all fresh produce but it’s cheap frozen meat pieces in what is an agreeable curry with uncooked peppers and of course a grey hair too!

Ordered food at about 6pm. When it was 20 minutes late I called. Lad said its on its way. A few hours and phone calls later, no food. Says they're closing and to take it up with just eat. Nice one.

Not one to moan but be expected for child's portions to arrive when ordering a delivery . Just spent over £20 and can't believe what arrived , handful of chips for £3.50 shocking & over £10 for chicken massala (overpriced) . Nice food but in future will go elsewhere , very disappointed.

Very poor biryani last night from this place. Considering that the dish is priced at over £11, it was devoid of any complex flavours, and even lacked a sufficient quantity of chicken and fried onions one would expect to find in this classic dish. Biryani is not meant to be a 'hot' dish, so the subtle flavours depend on the skill and care of the chef. Although mine was a takeaway order, the other parties had a sit-down meal, and were equally underwhelmed by the standard. Can't recommend. Bring back The Shalimar!
