We have been coming to this Restuarant for quite a few years, mostly weekly visits. It has recently been taken over by new owners but the chef is the same as before so the food is still excellent. The new owners do not sell alcohol but have gone above and beyond to get alcohol free versions. You can take your own alcohol in and pay a corkage but I’m not sure how much that is. I’ve recently heard that if you take your own glass too you don’t have to pay corkage. ( I’m not sure if that’s true but you can call them and ask. ) We will continue to enjoy the fabulous food there and wish the new owners luck in their new venture.

This restaurant serves delicious, authentic Indian food. The restaurant has been in Widnes for many years and is probably still the best in the town. Staff are friendly and welcoming and provide great service. I had the Chicken Chaat starter which was delicious, my husband had the the Tandoori mixed starter he also said it was beautiful. I had the Tandoori mixed grill for my main, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly. It comprised of a Tandoori chicken leg, chicken tikka, lamb tikka and a kofte kebab, I requested a pathia sauce to accompany which was perfect. My husband ordered the Chicken tikka Jalfrezi, there was plenty of chicken and he said his Jalfrezi sauce was delicious. We both ordered mushroom Pilau Rice and a garlic naan to share. The food was delicious, service was fab and you still get hot towels & After Eights to round off a perfect meal!
