had an absolutely wonderful time here today! we had the festive menu and it was amazing. server went above and beyond (even providing a non alcoholic version of the schnapps that was included!). loved the food and the atmosphere was great, especially with all the decorations around! definitely put in a reservation if you're wanting the festive menu!
Having recently fallen in love with the food, drink, and atmosphere of Bavaria itself, I was lucky enough to stumble across this restaurant in Manchester via Google Maps. My timing must have been perfect, as the Oktoberfest specials were still running. I must emphasize that this was, without question, the best meal I have ever had at any restaurant, ever. The moment I approached, the curb appeal filled me with confidence. The place looked as though it had been lifted straight out of Bavaria and perfectly placed in Manchester. Upon entry, I was blown away. The interior featured a nicely laid-out dining area to the left, a cozy open fire with surrounding seating directly ahead, and large, long wooden tables and benches to the right, all backed by an impressive bar stocked with real German draft beers and a separate cocktail bar to the left. The setting was truly stunning. I was seated in a booth and immediately ordered the Schweinshaxe—the Crispy Bavarian roasted pork knuckle. The menu described it perfectly: "brined for 12 hours before being rubbed in spices and roasted for 3 hours. Served with braised red cabbage and apple and a rich red wine gravy." I paired it with a real Bavarian Weißbier (wheat beer), it was simply divine. The pork nuckle was huge and mainly meat which was fork tender and not too fatty, it had the most perfect crackling too. The braised red cabbage and red wine gravy paid beautifully and cut through the richness of the meat, all that for £19.50. This dish is too good to be seasonal; they absolutely need to add it to the menu all year round! The staff were brilliant throughout the meal. I was served by Alexandro, who was exceptionally polite and attentive. The combination of incredible food, authentic atmosphere, and excellent service made for an unforgettable dining experience
Albert's Schloss brings a real taste of Oktoberfest to Manchester, and it's hard not to get swept up in the lively yet relaxed atmosphere. We went in the evening and the place was absolutely buzzing with people - it felt festive without being overwhelming. The live performance kicked off around 8pm, adding great energy to the night and making it feel more like an event than just dinner. Food-wise, we shared a platter for four that came piled high with pork knuckles, a variety of sausages, schnitzels, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and sauerkraut. The portion was generous and everything was cooked really well - hearty, comforting food that suited the setting perfectly. Drinks were another highlight, with an extensive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails to choose from. The beer in particular was spot on for the theme. Overall, Albert's Schloss is a great choice if you're after good food, plenty to drink, and a lively night out with a Bavarian twist.
I just celebrated my birthday and book release ("Sun-Kissed and Sidetracked") here, and I couldn’t be happier! The service was top-notch; the team greeted me warmly and made me feel really special. The food and drinks were delicious, and everything came out super fast. A lovely complementary dessert plate made my day. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone wanting a memorable meal! Looking forward to our next visit!
Albert's Schloss has quickly become one of my go-to spots for Sunday roasts. I've been here countless times and have never been disappointed by the food. The roast pork knuckle is always cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and juicy interior that leaves you wanting more each time. The atmosphere at Albert's Schloss is always lively and energetic, and the staff are friendly and attentive. All in all, I highly recommend Albert's Schloss for anyone looking for a top-notch Sunday roast.
NYE celebrations here, ticketed event included entrance, drink on arrival, canapes throughout the night and schnapps at the end. The atmosphere was electric, great energy from performers and entertainers. A very enjoyable night to end the year!
Purely a review of the day time coffee drinking / pastry Schloss, which is obviously a very different beast from party night / weekend boozing Schloss, and I’ve always enjoyed it It’s a remarkable that the place has maintained such high a standard of bakery over the years, and in some respects is better now than ever Pastries are excellent, fun and show real skill. The pretzels are superb. Coffee is decent. The only minor let down is the service tends to be a bit disjointed - though it’s obviously a vast space and the communication tends to fall a way a little
What a place! Sunday night with live music. If you are looking for a quiet place better you change spot. That’s the best place where to eat, drink and love. Sunday roast is amazing but don’t be late otherwise you will miss the best one. Great environment and good service
This is an amazing place to visit. It’s extremely busy so make sure you book well in advance. If you have kids then make sure you book well before 6. If you are in a large group and out for a night in Manchester then you certainly won’t regret going. Staff are absolutely amazing , food is amazing and the beer and drinks are amazing too . Atmosphere of this place was buzzing , even at 3pm in the afternoon, would love to have went without my son and seen the atmosphere in the evening. 100% somewhere you need to visit if you are in Manchester , a good starting point for a night out or even a afternoon meal out with the family .
