Really tasty food from Golden House Chorleywood! The hot and sour noodles had a great kick, and the chicken fried noodles were spot on. good portions — will definitely order again!
Ken’s place is the Chinese food you are looking for. Prepare to be welcomed by a friendly smile and good people who you instantly know are making your food with care and family mana. Try if you haven’t. The prices are right and the food even more so!
I’ve never posted a review before but I had to for this restaurant. I ordered the crispy shredded beef and there was absolutely no sight of beef whatsoever, as was completely filled with batter.
Absolutely delightful service and delicious food. You can call ahead and pick up, or, as we did, just turn up. We have no hesitation in recommending the Golden House. It’s not trying to be fancy, but it’s blooming good.
We have used this as our local Chinese takeaway for the last 6 years and we would not go anywhere else. We absolutely love the food! It is well seasoned, very generous and very reasonably priced compared to other Chinese takeaways. The quality of food is amazing with some of our absolute favourites being the sweet and sour king prawns, beef fried noodles, sesame prawn toast, crispy shredded beef, crispy wontons, Manchurian lamb, char siu rice and the list goes on! I can honestly say that I have never had a bad dish from this place and over the years we have tried nearly 3/4 of the dishes. If you have never been, I would highly recommend this place!
Disappointing really. Not to sure how this place has 4 stars. Everything was really bland. The crispy shredded beef seemed like it didn’t even have any beef it in, it was just crispy batter. Very little meat in the rice and noodle dishes. Even the seaweed was poor… Overall I’m just really disappointed and feel ripped off
