Fantastic pub. We went here on a Sunday to meet with friends the day after a wedding. We had the covered area outside booked or reserved. It was a great space. We had chicken pie (a favourite of mine at the moment) and chicken Caesar salad. Both dishes were very good. Pleasant to taste and full of flavour. The pie was a good portion size. Really enjoyed it. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Great playground for kids. I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Really nice friendly pub with a big beer garden for families and a children's play area (see photos). The staff where great, very friendly, happy to answer questions, quick service, tasty food, the Ice cream Sundae was the best a bit pricey at almost £10 but we still enjoyed it. We want to come back again on a Friday evening for the live music and pizzas. If you have young kids, ask for the free colouring pack it has loads of activities to keep the kids busy.

Stopped for lunch while hiking on a hot day. The pub was relatively quiet, and I took a table outside, where there are several benches and tables, some under the shade of the tree which was perfect. If you're sitting outside you need to order and pay at the bar, then they bring you the food. I had the chicken burger was absolutely huge, but good. The home-made coleslaw was the highlight. Friendly staff and good service. I walked-in, but there is ample parking too. Very relaxed and chilled pub.

Met up with dear friends for lunch at this charming little pub, and it turned out to be a real gem. The outdoor seating area was lovely and relaxed, with a great climbing play space that kept the kids happily busy while the adults caught up. The staff were warm and attentive, and the food was well above typical pub fare, you could tell the chefs genuinely cared about what they were creating. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The menu was varied, including a delicious vegan sweet potato tart with a crisp side salad and, honestly, the best pub chips I’ve ever had. Two at our table had the fish special and were full of praise. From the friendly service to the evident love in the kitchen and the overall charm of the place, it was a really lovely experience, one we’ll definitely be repeating.

Really lovely place with so much character. An amazing Sunday roast dinner was had. The meat was succulent, tender and full of flavour. The veg was cooked to perfection. Super tasty Yorkshire puds and gravy. We shared a super serving of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. Sat next to a roaring fire. Bliss. Highly recommend this place 100%.

Had the chicken and bacon caesar salad, it was beautifully done, not drenched in sauce and had anchovies throughout. Then sat in the outdoor area that had heating, happily recommend and will visit again.

This pub is really lovely! The staff is very polite and friendly, definitely great service! The food is okay but I would have expected a little bit more. The vegan burger is a patty made by them and unfortunately it broke immediately after the first bite. Nowadays you can find so many good patties like beyond burger or moving mountains so it doesn't make sense to offer a homemade patty unless is really something special! So I would just use one of these already made patty. The pie was okay as well nothing special.

Nice cozy ambience, lovely staff and amazing pub grub. Fish and Chips and Stilton Burger were both a clear 9/10. Highly recommended.
