   Had a full carvery here a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also had pigs in blankets starter too. Everything was well presented and cooked to perfection. New veg options on the carvery now are worth trying. Service was attentive and efficient. Good value for money and you won't leave hungry.

   Atmosphere good in the morning, lady hosting not really welcoming, food dreadful. Came for the buffet breakfast and the food was just swimming in grease, eggs runny as in not cooked, bacon was mostly fat and tasted horrendous. Hashbrowns and sausages were actually okay. But the rest of it was gopping. Honestly it was one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had, it messed with my stomach for days (still dealing with it now.) You don’t need to put the food in so much oil, all I could taste was vegetable oil on 80% of the food. Please check food is thoroughly cooked aswell, the eggs were all half raw half cooked. Bacon wasn’t fully cooked either. I’m still dealing with the aftermath of this breakfast 4 days later, absolute joke. Won’t be dining in this restaurant again. Edit: I have food poisoning. Definitely AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

   Toby carvery, what a shambles. Meat stored on the floor. See pictures. Other complaints to heard from tables surrounding us that it was cold. Ours wasn't cold. Heat of the food is not our complaint. Food dry, poor quality of meats and veg clearly sat under a food lamp all day. Flies engulf this place and would never suggest anyone spending their hard earned cash at this place. First walking in no one was at the seating stand and we were left to wander the establishment. Seating arrangements crammed. Booked for a big family meal and there was no festive decorations. Menu was fixed for purely carvery. Children's menu is limited and no chips. Starters arrived and this was cheaply put together. When collecting carvery all meats were poor cut and cheap quality. Vegetables were all soaking in grease clearly sat out and coated in oil to prevent going dry. Never in my experience of reviewing have I ever left such a poor review on a place.

   Enjoyed a great meal on Sunday 02/10/22... Friendly, helpful, courteous staff bent over backwards to make it a very enjoyable visit (I had food and non alcoholic drinks). I would recommend to anyone staying in the area (eg at the Travelodge across the road, where I'll sleep tonight). Photo taken at end of food service approx 2100.

   Absolutely amazing had both an evening meal and a breakfast buffet here last week and both times was absolutely amazing. Food was nice and hot and in plenty of supply,very reasonable priced what is an advantage during these tough times. Lots of ample free parking close to bus routes and walking distance from Widnes town centre.

   Well done to Adam in the kitchen for cooking one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed. We gave our compliments to lovely Luke (our server) for his attentiveness and friendliness. Great service! Well done guys!

   Came to Toby carvery with work on a Tuesday afternoon Positives. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and nice and clean. Roast dinner looked delicious. Negatives . Ordered a salad at 7.25, it literally came with shredded lettuce, 4 cherry tomatoes and a bit of cucumber. A small jug of vinagarette and some mayo. Absolutely shocking that this was so expensive. There must have been approximately 50p worth of food. Wish I would have taken a photo of now. Still cannot believe the price of it. That's usually a couple of quid as a side in other places. Not a happy customer
