   I am not a food reviewer, but I love to explore different cuisines, their balance, aroma, and texture; chasing that perfect harmony of spice and flavour; hence why, this is honest feedback: Surrey Spice (Fetcham) gave me one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. The food was a perfect blend of spice and taste, from prawn with plain rice, shami kabab, paneer tikka, to a lamb chop cooked specially on request (the best I’ve ever had), with plenty of salad, onion bhaji, and papadum. The team’s special effort, preparing the lamb chop on request, made the experience memorable. Their food hygiene rating is 5/5, and the team went out of their way to make the experience memorable. The meal flowed in a thoughtful sequence; starters to mains, like a polished tasting order at a posh restaurant. I travelled 52 miles from my postcode, and it was totally worth the journey. I would recommend Surrey Spice not only to local people in Surrey, but also to anyone from London or beyond who loves to explore food - this is a meal worth travelling for.

   Normally our fave curry takeaway. Today was below par. Maybe different chef?!Bhuna had barely cooked through onions and basically tasted like a sour tomato stew. Bombay potatoes on the harder side of al dente too. Hubby enjoyed his Naga though.

   Great selection, and having ordered multiple times, I can say that the food is always very good in terms of quality, quantity and value for money. Friendly delivery people too. Only issue I have had (and not just once) is with the timed order function on the website. On one occasion, it arrived 90 minutes early and I had to send it back - we simply weren’t ready because we were in the middle of some DIY (which is why I ordered it for a set time). It’s happened since, albeit not with such an extreme difference between the time for which I requested delivery and the time food arrived. I’ve defaulted to just ordering later in the evening so that the delivery time is broadly the one I’d have chosen if the timed order function could be relied on. Like I say, that is the only gripe - just something of which to be aware if you’re someone that likes to place timed orders.

   Called multiple times with no answer. Eventually drove there on motorbike to make order for delivery and was asked to wait and take my food to go... on a motorbike... no offence but do they expect me to balance it so.ewhere on the bike all the way home. Food from here is generally really nice but disappointed In the service received that day.
