We had heard good things about this place so was excited to try it. Booked a table for 4 on a Sat night & was told could have the table for 2 hours. We went at 5:30 as was seeing a show at the Cathedral at 7:30. The place was packed!!! Our order was taken quickly & our drinks and starters arrived within 15 mins. All good so far but that’s where it ends. The starters were ok but nothing to rave about. We then waited for 1hr 15 mins but still no mains arrived. We asked if it would be much longer as we only had 30mins left on the table & before we needed to leave. We were told we would be served next in 5 mins. Another 25 mins went by and we ended up leaving with no main course. They were quick to bring the bill for the drinks & starters though!!! Another table next to us were only just receiving their mains after 2 hours. Very disappointed! The deliveries for takeaways however were flying out the doors! Maybe they should concentrate more on their seated guests!! We won’t be going back again

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service and atmosphere were great too.

We had heard great things about Thai Number One, Lincoln and they didn’t disappoint! Service was wonderful and staff were all very welcoming, attentive and polite. The selection of vegan dishes was fantastic and each dish was authentic and flavoursome. My only piece of feedback would be to change the table cloths and napkins from paper to linen to heighten the experience. Thank you very much for a wonderful time!

Visited twice in my 4-day trip to Lincoln, and always looked popular. (Note: it is larger than it looks and there is a room at the back.) Just a short distance from Lincoln cathedral and castle. Authentic Thai dishes, that do not disappoint. On my first visit, I had the mixed starter (see photo), which the menu states is for a minimum of two people, but they also do it for one (consists of one each of fish cake, satay chicken, wrapped king prawn, chicken and prawn toast, and vegetable spring roll). On my second visit, I started with minced Prawn cakes. On both my main was a Chicken Green Curry, which had a spicy aftertaste that lingered nicely on the palate. Looking around all the dishes on other tables looked great. Unfortunately, the desserts were limited, mostly to ice cream and fritters. Would have loved a cheesecake. Suitable for singles (there were 5 singles on one of my visits), for couples, and for larger parties. With beer or large wine the prices were £33 / £36 (May 2025).

First visit on Saturday Evening, after hearing many good things. I would describe the building and service as perhaps a bit too stereotypical of what we as British, expect of Asian style restaurants - a little dated in terms of decor and the service is pleasant but abrupt. However, the menu and the food are fantastic, and you come to realise that maybe we are too busy judging appearance and mentality these days - we go somewhere because the food is good - and Thailand No1 is absolutely spot on for flavour, originality, texture, portion size and presentation. Looking around the room we were in, you could clearly see wonderful dishes of food on every table, and we shall certainly return

We booked mid week at short notice. It was busy but by no means noisy, very relaxed atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. My partner and I both had the Thai Green Curry and Egg Fried Rice. The lemongrass was pleasantly subtle and the flavours perfectly balanced. The rice was light and flavourful. For drinks we had pink gin and green tea. Both were delightful. We eagerly anticipate exploring the menu further on our next visit.

The food itself is really good itself it’s light and refreshing. It didn’t taste oily or greasy either so that was a bonus. The staff were very friendly and polite. The store it’s self was pretty. My issue was the menu was very compact and was very hard to read. Which can be very overwhelming. The seating was very close and tight which was a little uncomfortable.

Found this little gem today in the Cathedral quarter of Lincoln. This unassuming restaurant absolutely exceeded any and all expectations I could have had. Ordering my favourite Thai cuisine along with a starter as well as my wife's food, I was surprised by how quickly it was served, how fresh it all tasted and how fantastic it was. This is easily one of the best meals I have had the pleasure of eating this last year or so. The service was impeccable. The server was fast, polite and very helpful. There was a steady stream of incoming calls which one of the staff discreetly dealt with regarding future bookings. It's safe to say this restaurant is very popular and it's easy to see why. 10 out of 10. Will come here again.

We decided to have a Thai meal. I'm glad we chose here. The food was delicious and so tasty. We had one of the set meals for two and they allowed us to change one of the choices. The food was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the price was spot on. Would definitely recommend this place to eat in, the also do take a ways.
