It was our first time in this hidden gem and we loved it. I went for lunch with my friend and her little one that loved her pasta. The atmosphere is nice and had a home cozy vibe, Grace and the rest of the staff was friendly and attentive. Loved the pizza was authentic Italian flavour. We will be definitely back ✨
I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant- both the food and the way my concern was handled. I ordered a traditional carbonara. What arrived was pasta coated in egg that had overcooked and curdled, resulting in a scrambled texture rather than a smooth, emulsified sauce. I questioned this, as carbonara is normally made by gently cooking the egg into the sauce, not allowing it to scramble. When I raised the issue with the waitress, she brought the manger out who responded by saying that she is Italian and that “sometimes the egg is supposed to scramble.” I am no chef but I have cooked and eaten this traditional meal out many times and I know that it should not resemble scrambled egg. Rather than acknowledging the concern, I was made to feel foolish for questioning the dish. There was no apology offered. The interaction was uncomfortable and embarrassing, especially as I was out for a family meal. It was late, my daughter needed to eat, and instead of waiting for another dish to be prepared, I ended up sharing a kids’ pizza with her. I totally understand that mistakes happen in the kitchen and would have accepted an apology but dismissing a customer’s concern and making them feel uncomfortable is not acceptable service. Because of both the food and the way this was handled, I won’t be returning here. Shame as the rest of the food was tasty.
Food is excellent as is service and value. What separated this place for us was the kids menu, honestly the best we'd ever seen. Anywhere. Proper, delicious food and plenty of it. We'll be back without the kids, but that children's menu is this place's superpower.
Went and had lunch for 3 people we ordered pizza and spaghetti bolognaise and a cocktail and wine,we had 2 deserts and coffee food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely,would recommend.
Stopped at this eatery whilst in the area and was pleasantly delighted to find some good quality Italian food. There was 6 of us and all of us were happy with our choices of antipasti and main. Calamari, garlic pizza, baked mushrooms as starters and fettuccine alle vongole, carbonara, risotto and linguine alla siciliana for main. Will be back.
my husband and I went there for lunch. The restaurant was cosy and well decorated. The lady served us was friendly and attentive. We ordered three course set lunch. The appetisers are average. The mains are good, especially the penne was full of taste of salmon. However, the dessert made me disappointed …… I believe the tiramisu was cut from the ready made cake from supermarket.
Really nice, cosy, spacious place, where the food is just outstanding. If you think, you know Italian food, you will be pleasantly surprised, once you take the first bite. This place deserves “six stars”.
We had meal here second time. We all had a very nice meal both time, atmosphere is really lovely aswell. My pasta( I forgot name but leek and chestnut mushroom with white wine sauce fettuccine pasta) was really nice! I had bit tasted kids meal pizza and other pizza both really fresh dough and just lovely. We will go back again! Thank you Sicily!
I've been to Sicily a few times over the years, but my husband and children wanted to try it out. Welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. One of my favourite restaurants in Epsom. We usually go to Italy over the summer to visit family but couldn't go this year and, in a way, we felt transported there for a few hours.
