Popped in with my wife for a last-minute lunch date and were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. The lunch menu had a great selection — I went for the steak ciabatta and my wife had the club sandwich with fries. Both meals were delicious and freshly made. Great service and atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back!
I went to The Book yesterday morning for brunch as part of a big group to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday. We had a lovely time and our waiter was absolutely fab! He took photos for us, joined in with our celebratory mood and generally helped us enjoy the atmosphere. The food was really nice and reasonably priced
Stopped in for lunch at The Book as it was on the way to our next destination for the day. We enjoyed a delicious bowl of soup and a chicken club sandwich with great service and a nice laid back atmosphere.
I came here with my girlfriend recently as we love coming here for a date night and it was as amazing as ever. The staff are all friendly, helpful and passionate about their job. The atmosphere is very relaxed and sets the mood for a good night with particular praise for the decor and music. The food & drink is excellent too, with a varied menu and quality ingredients you can taste in every item. The many options of loaded fries and pizzas are my recommendation. Highly recommended for a date night or just casual drinks.
Had a wonderful brunch here yesterday while I was visiting family in Liverpool. Really lovely place. Great atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. It did get quite busy and so we had to wait a bit for our food hence the 4 stars. We were told there would be a longer wait than normal before we ordered so agreed this would be fine. 2 of us had the full English breakfast and the other 2 had the breakfast hash brown stacks. These looked delicious and I was told they tasted amazing. My breakfast certainly was. The quality of the food was great. We had a couple of hot drinks which were good too. Everyone was happy with their food. I would love to go here again one evening to try something else from the menu. Will certainly be looking to return when I visit family again which I do regularly.
We held a morning wake after my brother-in-law’s funeral, and Nathan, the manager, helped us with chooising the menu beforehand, and on the day, the staff, from chef through to bar staff, were very courteous and helpful. Would recommend The Book for any coffees, alcolholic drinks and food to anybody that enjoys GREAT service !!
Me and my partner's first visit and we were not disappointed. I think the menu is great and there is a good selection. The starters and mains were delicious. We will definitely go back. I have to mention that the staff were fantastic and they would go out of their way to make our experience enjoyable.
Called into the Book in West Derby last weekend for a breakfast. The staff couldn't have been any more helpful, From seeing me to a table, bringing me a coffee and fresh orange. To ordering a breakfast. I did ask for bigger breakfast, As you can see from the image, I got a bigger breakfast. I must say, it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Absolutely amazing place for breakfast.
Went last night ( 20.11.22) with the gang from work. Lovely little place. Staff amazing, food delicious. We were all really looked after. Will definitely be returning. Xx
