I ordered the chicken burger and I couldn't fault it. Chips were nice and hot. The server was Bob and he was also great. Would recommend for a quick budget meal

*Date of visit* 8th November 2025 We came here for lunch spur of the moment; the place is roomy and can facilitate loads of people. It wasn’t too busy and it has a range of booths as well as tables / chairs; unfortunately the booth we were in had sticky tables. I originally ordered the southern fried chicken sub; but they don’t do this on weekends and we didn’t realise this until we went up to order. The writing on the menu where it says Mon - Fri is quite small and should have either been in capitals or bigger to make it more noticeable. Or they should do a separate menu for weekends (we came on a Saturday) so instead I ordered a southern fried burger with fries and onion rings whilst other family members ordered a tikka masala and a steak. The food didn’t take too long to come which was good; the chips and onion rings were okay but didn’t like the taste of the southern fried burger. A family member who ordered the steak didn’t think it was cooked properly and it arrived as pink when they ordered it as well done (See attached picture) and one of the cokes we ordered was flat; whilst another member enjoyed the tikka masala. We thought the masala sauce especially was nice and was not too sweet. Nonetheless, we had mixed thoughts about our meals and may try somewhere else for lunch next time we come to Cheshire Oaks.

Friendly staff saved the day at this breakfast spot, but the food was a letdown. Nothing spectacular on the menu, and the dishes we tried were just okay. Still, the service was top-notch – our server was warm and attentive. Maybe worth a visit if you're in the area, but don't expect a culinary wow moment.

Great value pub grub, they do non alcoholic pitchers for £5.99 and 2 for £12.99 mains. Trifle baked Alaska was nice and tangy. Don't forget blue light card for 15% off food if you have it. Ordering from the app was easy. Food came out hot and quick. Cheap and cheerful.

Went in on Saturday night and noticed a lot of empty plates on tables but sat down and clean one and ordered from the app. We ordered a mixed grill and a 12oz steak. The steak was quite tough but overall edible. The gammon on the mixed grill was quite nice and topped off with the pineapple. The chicken though was quite dry but luckily I had ordered some extra sauce to go with the meals. There was an offer on the food we had ordered so overall with the price, it’s not a bad place to eat.

Great selection of dishes available with an abundance of deals to choose from. Ten of us ordered, each having something different. We all enjoyed our meals.

Disappointed as previously been and had a nice meal. Tonight was opposite, dirty feel, toilets were awful. Lasagne was dried and tbh half empty, luckily an 11 year was eating it. Added chips from my plate to fill her up. Kids sliced chicken was a lump and slimy in texture. Roasted veg plate was blackened and layered with burnt food. Birthday celebration which was not as special as expected. We won't be back. Nice to get a partial refund but still put a dampener on the evening.

We made an impromptu visit this evening, I wasn't sure what I was going to have, had a look at the Tuesday specials and I liked the sound of the southern fried chicken skewers with chips and salad, ive never had them before so I ordered it. Even though it was fairly busy we didn't wait long at all for our food. When it arrived it was well presented , 2 oval dishes on a board, 1st oval dish was a plate of chips and salad, the 2nd plate was a sizzler hot dish , 2 skewers of southern fried chicken served on a bed of mixed peppers and onions, it looked every bit as good as it tasted, it was absolutely delicious, I enjoyed every bite. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the salad tasted very crisp and fresh and the chips where cooked just how I liked them. A most enjoyable visit and I recommend the southern fried chicken skewers. The picture I've added is not the exactly my meal , I have taken it from the Internet but it is a very true likeness to the meal I received. I just wanted to show people just how nice it looks

The food was ok. Tables had As lots of empty plates on entry so sat out of the way. Food was reasonably priced but very average for a chain pub. The cutlery, glasses and tables were worn down.
