“Great craft beer bar. Friendly staff and atmosphere with reasonable prices for the products available. Children are allowed on till 7pm which is handy. Would recommend for anybody who likes their beer or just likes a local atmosphere from an independent local business.”

“We needed somewhere close to the waterways museum and this was the perfect spot. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were great, happy, smiling nothing too much trouble and the meal we had was excellent. Our room on the 3rd floor gave us great views over the canals and museum. I would highly recommend. The only potential problem is what appears to be limited parking, although there was a wedding on when we were there which may have been the cause of the problem.”

“We’ve just had an incredible meal. I tried the wagu ribeye which is a great recent(ish) addition to the menu - highly recommended. Our waitress was the lovely Abbie who was as very attentive and made us giggle. Thanks Abbie and team for a great post-shopping dinner!”

“Stayed overnight whilst in the area for a friend’s birthday party. Lovely, clean room with spacious bathroom - shower looked like it had been installed days ago. The best breakfast I’ve had for a long time - freshly cooked eggs royal. Really extensive breakfast menu and very reasonably priced. All cooked to order. Beautiful presentation. Delightful staff.”

“Wow where do we start. We can certainly tick off all of the boxes above. We dined at the chesire branch for fathers day 2025. After looking at the menu I knew it would be the best place for myself, my husband and our 2 children aged 1 & 4. We had travelled 2 hours for a weekend in chester therefore I couldn't bring with me any decor for fathers day, the amazing manager Laura instantly gave us a balloon to take away and the most amazing and welcoming service, infact every member of staff we interacted with were so pleasant. The restaurant clearly went above and beyond to ensure everyone there enjoyed fathers day and any other occasion they may have. The food was really good and left us wanting more even though we were full. The staff were amazing with the kids, which actually led mummy and daddy enjoy their meal. This does not happen often, so a very special thank you!! Thank you las iguanas cheshire for really making our evening, and giving us an amazing fathers day evening. When visiting chesire again, you will be the first on our list!”

“We've just had a lovely breakfast at the Cheshire Yeoman. Quality ingredients cooked to perfection and well presented. The background music was good and just the right level. Our waitresses, Lucinda was friendly, helpful and very efficient. We'll be back.”

“Always come here when on this part of town, often when we've been to Whitby Park across the road. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. I like the beer garden on a hot summer's day. Today we stopped off for a quick drink and a snack to eat, and if we hadn't needed to be somewhere else, we would've had stayed for a proper course of dinner. My Mam was very impressed with the place and she liked the chilled atmosphere. She said that she'd be coming again next time her and my Dad visit us”

“Had a great experience at TGI Fridays today! I ordered the beef tortillas, pasta and fries everything was delicious. Our server Sophie was amazing, so friendly and attentive. It was my birthday and the team made it really special with a free cake, a cute balloon hat and a fun birthday song! Great atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend!”

“A good place to stop halfway around the shops… This Pret is a nice spacious cafe with super comfortable seats and a good choice of food and drinks. We came in here initially hoping to get a nice refreshing iced tea but unfortunately couldn’t see any on the menu (so assumed that iced tea isn’t an option in Pret, as we’ve never been to one before) there were bottles of green tea in the fridge but it wasn’t quite what we were looking for. The cake selection was brilliant and all of them looked great, my partner chose a chocolate croissant - she said it was delicious and one of the best ones she’s ever had, it was nice and light pastry with plenty of chocolate filling/flavour. We had a bottle of peach tea from the fridge which was ok but nothing amazing. The leather seats in here are very comfortable and you’ll just sink into them, I honestly could have sat there for hours. The staff were very friendly, at least the gentleman who served us was - he was very chatty and had a smile on his face which just made the whole transaction a better experience.”

“Great value pub grub, they do non alcoholic pitchers for £5.99 and 2 for £12.99 mains. Trifle baked Alaska was nice and tangy. Don't forget blue light card for 15% off food if you have it. Ordering from the app was easy. Food came out hot and quick. Cheap and cheerful.”

“Stopped in here to have some food with the parents. Weekday lunch and we all opted for the Carvery and it Didint disappoint. 11.95 for a regular plate and it was good value for money. Meats available were Turkey, Beef and Gammon and they were all juicy and not dry. Veg had plenty of choice inc the usual suspects plus parsnips, cauliflower cheese etc. overall good tasty food with pleasant atmosphere. Walking distance to and from Cheshire Oaks and also had free parking. This place is Dog friendly but has limited tables near the bar that accommodate dogs so call ahead to check if needed to reserve a table.”
