   All of the staff were so very friendly, really lovely, kind and seemed very genuine. As Southerners we did wonder if that was the polar opposite of the north vs south but having visited the area many times, i do feel like the team here were so very lovely and helpful and it really made our trip. Well done to the team, honestly all lovely lovely people. Well done

   On checking in Elle was extremely helpful and professional. She made sure I had everything I needed. Zak and Sam on the bar were so knowledgeable when asking about different wines and even remembered my order from the previous night. Great staff made this stay a pleasure. Great location also and comfortable rooms. Thanks to all staff.

   Stayed here twice for one night before and after getting the ferry from Birkenhead. Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was really nice - varied offer and nicely cooked. Coffee was a little watery but otherwise no complaints.

   We needed somewhere close to the waterways museum and this was the perfect spot. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were great, happy, smiling nothing too much trouble and the meal we had was excellent. Our room on the 3rd floor gave us great views over the canals and museum. I would highly recommend. The only potential problem is what appears to be limited parking, although there was a wedding on when we were there which may have been the cause of the problem.

   Really friendly staff throughout, made us feel very welcome. Room was great, comfy beds, all you need really for a nights stay. Ate in the restaurant in the event, really nice meal and kids free. Breakfast also lovely. Tried the pool in the morning and this was great too, warm water. Would have no hesitation using this hotel again and recommending to others

   Absolutley amazing stay at this hotel for my daughters Birthday! The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was fantastic! Swimming pool was great to! All the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond. At breakfast they couldn't do enough for us and even gave my daughter a personalised gift bag for her Birthday! Would highly recommend, the views of the canal are beautiful from our room and at breakfast! We will be back.

   This was a bit of a surprise for us, given the location - right on the canal and a couple of very friendly swans. They were enchanting, swimming right up close for photos - as if they were trained. You can expect good service and comfortable rooms here. Pool was also great for the kids and they had lots of fun, swimming around. Could do with a fresh bit of a paint in the bathroom in the room we had. Otherwise, great night’s sleep. However, the AC didn’t appear to regulate the room temperature. Hopefully works better during the summer months.

   Staff polite and friendly, room clean tidy and bed comfortable. Cooked breakfast was poor, bacon dry, sausages hard, scrambled eggs rubbery and fried eggs hard. This was a 6.50AM when breakfast starts at 6.30.... not good (too much heat lamp). Good selection of cereals, and cooked breakfast alternatives. Didnt try the facilities, as I checked in late and went straight to my room Loses 1 star for the cooked breakfast, everything else good. Will stay again.

   All the staff here are so lovely and friendly! The rooms were very clean with a powerful shower in our bathroom! The restaurant has a fabulous breakfast buffet and the one evening meal we had there was equally lovely and quite good value! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because it was a bit noisy in the rooms. The walls are thin to the point of hearing conversion of other guests in the hallway and the telly in the next room. Also disappointed that no washcloths(flannels) were provided in the bathroom. Would have been nice to know this before arrival so we could have brought our own. Never been to a hotel where wash clothes are not provided. We ended up buying some at a local shop though so all good in the end.
