Ordered via just eat took more than hour and forty five mins to arrive and when it did I had to throw it out. Fish was literally cremated chips were undercooked and cold curry was slimy and greasy. Absolutely appalling. Will never use again. Avoid .
I ordered a meal for delivery. The order stated 50 minutes but after an hour and a half it still wasn't here. I thought I'd give it another 20 minutes because it was Friday night, and still nothing so I decided to ring the restaurant and the call went straight to answer phone. I tried another 3 times over the next 5 minutes and it went to answer phone each time. I eventually gave up and drove to the restaurant to find out what was happening as it was now near 2 hours since my order. I was given the old 'it's just left' and was given an apology and a can of coke. I got home and the meal STILL hadn't been delivered so I tried ringing again, and AGAIN it went to answer phone. I was livid and drove back to the restaurant only to find out while I was out the meal had arrived. I got home, opened it and it wasn't even slightly warm. It was stone cold, so yet again for the 3rd time, I had to go back, complain about it being cold and was given an entire fresh order. The food is really nice, hence why we go there, but if you can't deliver it when you say you will, at least let the customers know it's going to be late. AND TURN YOUR PHONE ON
Forgot our order waited nearly 2 hours for the food, offered a refund which is nice but when we wanted to swap it she said the chef wouldn’t cook it because it was over the limit of our original food….. I get it but when you’ve been waiting nearly 2 hours it’s not really the best. Would avoid the Singapore Fried rice it tasted like microwaveable cat food. Fuming just wanted my tea lol .
Normally we thoroughly enjoy the food from Gui Gardens, however having ordered the half Crispy Duck, the Hoisin sauce was so spicy our lips were burning! I have enjoyed Crispy Duck for 40yrs but not this time the sauce overpowered everything else.
I have never had a worse Chinese takeaway... absolutely gutted. Just moved to the area, and couldn't be more disappointed with our local takeaway. Rice and "curry" was bland and just looked like it was covered in slop not curry, Chips are frozen and hard textured, not nice at all, S&p chicken came as a shredded style rather than chunks... and had barely any chicken in it, just rock hard batter, inside was either stringy or this odd purple colour, and finally the sweet and sour sauce was lumpy gelatenous gloop. how is that even possible?! Really disappointed, hungry, and to top it off it was cold when delivered.
Garbage, can't even get a crab and sweetcorn soup right... Extremely watery with no flavour, in two very small cartons and overpriced. Never going again. Chippy over the road way better,
If I looked up perfection in the dictionary, the definition would be gui gardens. As the exquisite food touches my lips I feel a tingling sensation down my spine. The joy of eating from this fine establishment keeps me going and I don’t know what I would do without it. Thank you gui for being with me forever!
First time ordering through Just Eat. Absolutely disgusting. The squid was chewy and looked as though it had been hacked, the accompanying vegetables were swimming in grease. The prawn toasts were passable but only just. As for the Char Sui curry and fried rice..I’m too scared to try it
It was my sister booked this and the driver was amazing. Very courteous and polite, was here within 20 mins, my sister tried to tip him but he wouldn't take it. Totally recommend 5 stars.
