I was hugely looking forward to visiting this restaurant because as a Libyan living in England we aren’t treated to many Libyan restaurants outside of London. We travelled as a party of 10(6 kids and 4 adults) for two hours as the food was touted as being legendary. When we arrived, aside from my sister, the rest of us were treated coldly and were mostly ignored by the servers. The seating area is a little small too and our party did end up occupying the major part of the end of the restaurant. The food was actually very tasty- the Libyan dishes mostly didn’t disappoint. We ordered Rishda, fasoolia, Imbatin, Libyan soup (shorba) which all came with salad on the side. I did ask for yogurt dip but this request was ignored. The Rishda was very flavourful and the meat was cooked to perfection but the Imbatin which is a mincemeat filled potato fried with an egg wash was bland and fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The soup was very hearty too and reminded me strongly of Libya. All in all, if you’re looking for lovely Libyan food this is the place to go. If you’re looking for warm welcomes and service with a smile, avoid like the plague. The lack of hospitality was very off putting and whilst the food was tasty it’s unlikely I’ll be travelling almost 100 miles in a rush again to be treated with the ignorance that we were shown today. 6/10

First time trying Libyan cuisine and food was very homely and hearty. Portion sizes were very good and prices were very affordable. The lamb and chicken were cooked perfectly and very soft and not dry. Did not enjoy the sausage as the skin had a thick and strange texture. The person serving us was very friendly and had a big smile. Would recommend giving it a try!

Came here on the back of a review on insta. Can not recall the name of the dishes I got but they were plentiful. It’s a fairly basic place but the food is home cooked by ladies in the kitchen. A family restaurant and not a mainstream commercial place. I would recommend and will be revisiting.

I just had to write a quick review for this place. Manchester based but well worth the travel. This was my first experience of Libyan foood and if this is anything to go by, I’m moving to Libya. Lamb soup, mini shwarma, Shakshuka, these amazing keema filled potatoes. It was all great. Spicier than I expected and reasonably priced. £11.50 for everything in the pics. It’s near whimmy road - so if you are in that part of town, give them a try. Zoroona

I've been wanting to try Libyan food for a while now and this did not let me down! Phenomenal food, so tasty. I'm not sure if all Libyan food is this good or this shop is an exception but I hope to come back!! Gorgeous wallahi it was one of the best dinners I've had in ages if not ever.

Absolutely love this place. It is a small family run business. They serve the best food, very clean. Good quality food with generous portions. The staff are very welcoming and friendly which is one of the best things about their service. Tastiest food and is the only takeout me and my family eat now. 100% recommend.
