Ordered delivery at 7pm Saturday night, food arrived in 7 minutes !! Cold, rock hard chips, kebab meat also cold, and gone crispy. Used to be good here, drastically gone down hill. Now gone to Pats at Frankley.
The fish was beautifully golden and crispy on the outside, while the inside stayed soft, flaky, and full of flavor. The chips were just how I like them — hot, perfectly cooked, and not greasy at all. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous for the price. The staff were friendly and quick, and my order was ready in no time.
Please don’t waste your money! Ordered delivery, Pizza came with the topping slumped in one side of box, chips were burnt, solid and cold. Scollops were undercooked! Really disappointing experience and from looking at reviews looks like a common theme!
Awful, order came ALL chips were obviously old and hard very disappointing when waiting for your food to arrive and you can’t eat it! Called up and they said they will cook fresh chips and send them out waiting double the time AND STILL (3rd pic) rank hard chips! waste of money.
I visited here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I opted and ordered for the cod & chips at a competively priced £6.99 Didn’t have to wait too long (5-10 mins) and the fish ‘n’ were chips cooked from fresh. The fish was a very respectable modest size & was very tasty. Best cod tasted in the area for a while & chips were spot on. When the weather gets better I will return fairly soon.
Incredibly poor. Pizza toppings had been sloshed around in transit and had come off the base so when it arrived it was all just oozing out the pizza box holes and I'm left with a circle of pizza base. Chips tasted odd, I believe old oil having worked in a chip shop years ago. Onion rings not cooked properly/barely cooked. Driver didn't give two sheets. No offer of refund (shouldn't have to ask). Will not return and I'd advise to not try. Should have read these reviews.
Unfortunately the food seems to have gone downhill lately. We were not happy with pizza that we ordered a few months ago and then tonight we had fish and chips. My fish was fine but my wife's tasted off and had the smell of ammonia. To the credit of the guy that i spoke to on the phone,after ringing back myself when i was told a manager would ring when i rang the first time to raise the complaint, i was offered the meals again but i declined as we were both sick after smelling the fish and we weren't to hungry after that. This was our go to for over a decade and sadly i will not eat there again. Very dissapointing. Again, the staff that i spoke to were very polite and professional. I wouldn't usually go out of my way to write a bad review but i feel that this is a potential risk to health and feel this information should be available. Maybe i was unlucky.
Ordered kebab meat and chips with salad in store, had to wait a while and prices deffo gone up alot since my last one but it was lovely and fresh and would deffo order again
Great choice of various foods, fish and chips we had were good quality at a reasonable price. Staff were cheery! Need to repair the front door though as the waiting was freezing!
I placed my order some of my family around they paid fish and chips for my dad and the rest of my family ordered as well, I ordered 2 large fish only had 1 delivered, my dad and my brother said the chips was absolutely poor they looked like the scraps what you would chuck in the bin at the end of the night. The order was completely cold, normally they are very good but 2 day the order was missing and cold and not good enough to eat.
