   I think this place is rather lovely. In a world of soulless chain restaurants this place has personality and a homely comfort. I popped in for an evening meal which was very good. I had the steak which was a bit overcooked but it didn't really matter. I had a glass of red wine which was fine, and a rather nice tiramisù Total bill was £53 pounds. But I think one comes to this place to feel at home, for the personal service and the sense of supporting a good local institution.

   A lovely restaurant of the kind that has almost disappeared in London, where the food is generous, tasty and unpretentious, and priced so that you don't need a special occasion to justify a visit. Bread and freshly prepared vegetables are included. Some of the dishes are cooked on a charcoal brazier. Some outdoor tables. Welcoming staff. Everything you want in a local restaurant.

   A hidden gem. We had our reunion lunch here a couple of weeks ago. we have been doing this for a number of years and the food is always fantastic, service quick and friendly and always a great atmosphere . How they can offer, to a large group, such a great range of meals to such a high standard is beyond me. We have already booked for next year !

   Friendly local Italian with food prepared on the grill in the restaurant. Lovely fresh grilled sardines. The veal chop is a great choice as are some of the daily specials. The team are really welcoming and helpful.

   I LOVE Blades! It’s an intimate Italian restaurant with fantastic service and delicious food! My fiancé and I are both gluten free and dairy free and they are so wonderful in explaining all the items on the menu that can be prepared that way (almost everything!) and they have gluten free pasta AND bread!
