Stopped by for lunch before shopping for groceries at Wing Yip on Saturday. We waited for around 10mins to be seated. The place offers a good variety of Cantonese food and drink options. The few dishes we ordered were all quite flavorful. The little bakery shop by the exit was lovely as well. Overall good experience though we found it to be a bit more expensive than expected.

Came here especially from a far. Ordered three meat Roast Duck, char Sui pork and Roasted Pork with rice. The meats are rice were very dry. Tasted like old meats and rice. We Also ordered crispy noodles with vegetables and tofu dish, the sauce looked like gravy, very salty. How very disappointing. Would I recommend this to anyone? NO

Great simple Hong Kong style food Taste tends to be strong and concentrated but can be asked to tune down - excellent flexibility Service is fast and precise - definitely serve the purpose Decoration is rather old school Hongkee local cafe style Not a place to hang in forever rather just eat and leave Reasonably value for money

Really enjoyed the meal at the Reindeer cafe! They offer traditional canto style dishes at a very high standard. The charsiu was perfectly cooked with a good balance of fattiness and lean meat, with a subtle hint of sweetness from the honey. The roast duck was really tender and flavourful as well. The garlic choi sum was simple but delicious — well seasoned, not stiff or overcooked at all, and you can really taste the wok hei. Our highlight of the meal was the lamb hotpot, it was so tasty and the lamb literally just slides off the bone!! The portion size was generous so I’m glad that we brought some Tupperwares with us, wouldn’t want to waste any of this delicious food!! There’s a bakery in the cafe as well — we’ve particularly enjoyed the coconut peanut 糯米糍(mochi) and the egg tart. And oh! Don’t forget the milk tea too, which was made to perfection and perhaps even better than some of the 茶餐廳 I’ve been to in HK. Will definitely come back again for another meal!!

Great Hong Kong style cafe. They offer nice Chinese roasts, Chinese bakery, a variety of plated rice and noodle dishes and other a la carte dishes. Food is authentic and flavoursome. The Chinese roast is of a good standard. The staff are friendly. It is always busy so it is quite a nice atmosphere. For some, it maybe a bit noisy. The price is reasonable. They do not add service charge by default, it is discretionary. It’s a great place to get some yummy Chinese food with minimum of fuzz. Highly recommended.

A very authentic hk style restaurant! The 燒味飯is really nice! Especially the 燒鵝髀, just add 50p to change into the leg part, a very fair deal! 叉燒is a bit too dry and hard but acceptable, just can’t get 半肥瘦叉燒in uk anyway. The milk tea is very nice, the 紅豆冰is fine. Their bakery and pastry are also nice and fair price, much cheaper than China town.

Visited in November 2021. 星洲炒米 was great. Authentic鑊氣. Quality of 燒味 was a bit less reliable. Ordered 义燒燒鴨飯 in a later visit, which tasted great, but on my third visit, the same dish was just meh - Char siu was dry and tough, roasted duck was mostly bones with barely any meat.

I had fish congee with fried wontons for lunch. My drink was hot Ovaltine. The lady who served us was friendly and lovely. The food was also enjoyable. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but certainly would eat there again if I’m in the neighbourhood. Good for families and couples.
