As it was a mid week visit it was very quiet and the self service was not available for breakfast but we did find the food was a lot nicer as it was cooked fresh. The car parking is free with a few disabled places. It cost £9.99 per person and the kids ate free

Pub is FILTHY. Management clearly not doing regular checks. We'd booked a table at 12 noon for a small family meal (3 adults, 2 young children.) On arrival at 11:40, the bar was unmanned so we couldn't get a drink before our meal. The arm chairs in the bar area were black with dirt. We then got seated at our reserved table when the restaurant opened, with the children going into the soft play whilst we waited for our meals. It was absolutely disgusting! I don't know how they can charge £3.50/kid. (I've been in another Brewer's pub and their soft play was free and cleaner.) The toddler area was full of dust, dirt, rubbish that was easy for children to pick up. (See photos) The main area isn't for adults to go into, but my son had a stomach bug the following day/evening after our visit. Both kids had dirty clothes and black hands after being in there, and whilst I cleaned them before they ate, I do think my son has got ill from the poor hygiene at Burleydam. After seeing how bad the kids area was, I noticed the carpet around our table didn't look like it had been vacuumed recently. There was dust gathered around the lamps and radiators. The highchair we were given had not been cleaned properly. Service wasn't brilliant - mixed up our orders for food intolerance items to be omitted, despite the server saying the plate was the meal without. Forgot to bring the condiments we'd been asked if we'd like. Had to chase up a drink that was missed. It was the start of the shift, so doesn't bode well if you visit later on. The food was nice enough and the staff pleasant but the grotty areas have put me off visiting again.

8 of us visited today for Christmas Dinner, the food was outstanding along with the friendly staff and the service was amazing too. Kids and adult meals where faultless, usually have Christmas dinner at another restaurant which was £30 more per meal and this was better by far! Highly recommend the burleydam brewers fayre

We were staying at the adjacent Premier Inn and couldn't really see anywhere else to eat around, so opted for the meal deal of £24.99 for a 2 course dinner, drink and unlimited English breakfast or so we thought.... when we entered the restaurant a young waitress asked if we had booked and said where we could sit, not near the fire as that was for a different menu, breakfast we pressume. Told to order at till when ready, but no advice given on menu and couldn't see any small print indicating what was and wasn't on offer. So upon choosing we try to order, only to discover that anything worth having had a supplement slapped on it from £1.99 to £3.99. The only drink included was lager, even strongbow had 50p added. So we had Doom Bar from the bottle as extra charges applied for draft. After about 15 minutes we had to ask for our drinks, bearing in mind there was us a table of two, another two and a table of three. So hardly rushed, and the server said brought you a glass as not sure if you wanted one. Why would we want to drink from the bottle?? So after changing our minds on the food as the charges simply aren't worth it for the quality, I had chicken goujons fried, more batter than chicken and dry with a bbq sauce. My partner had potato skins, which were ok but more than likely microwaved. I was half expecting the dinner to arrive when starter plates still on table, but they were took away. I chose the triple pie selection, which came with mash or chips and the young waitress had to be prompted to notice there was a choice, although I'm sure the till would of done it eventually. My partner had the chicken and ribs with the supplement charge. This was ok, although fries very well done. The only saving grace of this place was the breakfast, which an order was taken, so not unlimited as the advertisement suggests. Which is fine as there was ample supplied, poached egg and bacon cooked perfect. But the coffee machine was broken, thought the bar would of had one to use, but obviously not. So if we did stay again, would have only the breakfast as its worth it, but not the evening meal. Think service needs to be looked at here, as weren't asked at any point if all ok. And the odd bits of rubbish on the floor, which when empty really not acceptable.

We didn't book but, there were some tables free. Drinks were a bit slow to come after they'd been ordered. That was the only little negative. Food was hot, tasty and good portions. We will come back

Had a meal here Saturday lunch. Although we had not booked they managed to find us a table saying they were really busy. We got to our table but there were lots of unoccupied tables and still were when we left? Surely all those tables weren't booked and the people didn't turn up! Meal was average. I had hunters chicken must say chicken breast was small. I've had this meal before and it was a much better portion. Price was £10.29. Didn't wait too long for our meals which was good.
