   I would like to say a big thank you to Mimi❤️ We visited Pizza Express Purley and she informed us that she was the only server for that evening and our food may be delayed. We decided to stay and watched her cope with a full restaurant and online orders but always with a smile . One of the chefs also helped with a smile. Pizza Express you are lucky to have her xxx

   Pizza Express has been favourite for years & customer service has been great too wherever we go except Purley one. Firstly both our bruschetta’s were burnt, no dip with polenta chips so couldn’t enjoy dry chips & then when called to complain, we were put on hold for such a long time and then got hung up. When called back found manager Liam’s attitude rude & incompetent. He said he’ll send vouchers via email for bruschettas but didn’t receive any. We tried calling back few times but he keep lying that they’ll send but they never did. Very disappointed feeling cheated & ripped off. Cook knowing bread was burnt still served it. Our whole evening dinner & mood was ruined. This is our very 1st time leaving bad review for anyone in life. We’ll never order or visit that restaurant ever again.

   me and my boyfriend come here at 2.10pm on thursday 28th of august we come here to do the bottomless pizza deal it’s 90 minutes it wasn’t busy at all 4,5 tables and one person doing everything we ordered no problem i ordered again dough balls as i just finished mine the young women small with glasses said to me you’re been here over 90mins when that was a lie we got seated at 2.10 it’s 90 mins that would have been 3.40 it finished i ordered them at 3.20 still had 20 mins i said no we got here at 2.10 so that’s not right she said okay it’s for dine only you can’t take them out with you i said no it’s fine you just told me it’s been 90 minutes when it hasn’t she still put it through i thought she was really rude trying to cut the time we had the service was so slow will not be coming here again

   What a disappointment! Came here with my daughter and were allowed to seat anywhere we wanted, as it was almost empty. Good start, you would say. Then the little one is served with the dough balls with butter, even if they say you get houmous. The pizza is a good size for children. The dessert is missing the strawberry and the icing. So you don't really get what it says on the tin. Regarding the adult pizza, what a fiasco! An overcharged margherita pizza, with some dry mushroom and burnt ham ...around 15 pounds. And the crust is so thin and hard to chew... And you have no option for sauces, unless you want some salad dressing on your pizza. Conclusion: 2 words (technically 3)... don't bother!

   I don't like leaving negative reviews but the other day I was doing my daily walks and was refused the toilets because I wasn't eating there at that moment. I visit this restaurant maybe 3 times a year and never had any issues with it. Unfortunately this encounter soured it for me. I have a medical condition unfortunately which forces me to use the bathroom more often, and I really didn't want to discuss this with the staff there. Luckily there was the big Tesco nearby.

   Great service and food. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Leanne, gave me a choice of tables and made me feel welcome. Then Irving my waiter introduced himself , he was friendly , polite and seemed to enjoy his job, went out of his way to make us feel special. The food was excellent, a really lovely evening with a good atmosphere. Must mention Lili who took our payment at the end , they were all really friendly, efficient I will definitely return.

   Pizza Express really has gone downhill. First time in a few years and so disappointed. Waiter polite, courteous and helpful, but kitchen useless. Couldn't get anything right. Drinks, don't even do orange juice, just squash. This is a business going down the pan
