   I had a really great experience at Pizza Express overall. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit very enjoyable. However, there was one small issue that affected the atmosphere. One of the waiters had a noticeable and unpleasant scent, and he slightly disturbed the atmosphere and overall experience. Aside from that, everything was amazing, and I would still recommend Pizza Express for the quality of the food and the generally high standard of service

   Firstly waitresses all 3 just standing behind the counter talking to each other and on their phones, took 25 mins to collect our empty starter plates. Manager very arrogant ask the waitresses a question and could hear him bitching across the room, personally won’t return especially after the waitress following us out after paying cash asking if we was leaving a tip. Purley high street one much better and friendly staff. Edit in response to the manager, email sent to you but if you have a recollection of the events then who am I and how many of us was sitting as you would have no idea as there’s nothing on my profile but instead your trying to cover the facts your poor at leading your staff for paying guests we did also take a video and photos to send direct to pizza express.

   We ordered a pizza through Deliveroo and were extremely disappointed. The pizza arrived burnt around the edges, and in some places parts of the crust were completely missing — as if it had been ruined from the start. It looked terrible, nothing like a fresh, properly made pizza. The taste was just as bad: the burnt flavor overwhelmed everything. We couldn’t even eat it properly because it was so poorly prepared. We are very disappointed with the pizza and the overall quality of service. Receiving such low quality for this price is unacceptable. We absolutely do not recommend this pizzeria.

   Consistent service and good quality food every time I have been to this branch, be it mid afternoon, early evening or late evening like this evening when we were served by Jessica. As the restaurant wasn't at all busy due to it being just after nine in the evening, we got served quickly and the food was piping hot when she brought it to us. I guess the only let down was that as it was getting near to closing time, the coffee machine had already been cleaned but that's no Biggie really. All the staff we have been served by and the manager are all very nice, courteous and helpful. Can't really fault anything to be honest!

   We went here expecting the classic pizza express experience and were left very disappointed. I ordered a salad and large gf dough balls to have together. When the food came out my dough balls came without the salad and with hummus not garlic butter? The salad sat on the side for 20 minutes and no one brought it over. There was also no opportunity to ask as all the staff avoided any eye contact. When the salad did come over i had finished my dough balls. I did also ask for lettuce instead of rocket but apparently they don’t have lettuce despite it being on the menu with a different salad? They also still charged me full price despite it having no rocket and no dressing. The staff were also rude, very slow despite it being really quiet and no apology when i complained. A very disappointing experience.

   Food was below average VERY expensive , charged £7 for two cokes! but the white bald guy serving us, shocking service. He picked our plates and food up whilst my wife was still eating, and then bought the bill over without me even asking for it, that is ridiculous i didn’t ask for the bill yet why are you trying to get rid of us out of a shabby quite restaurant. Then came paying the bill he asked give we did not add service charge do you want to add tip, i said no, he ripped the receipt off and threw it on the table, because he was offended for no tip, i have the right to not pay tip. We left the restaurant with no thank you for coming, just a cold response can’t i believe i spent £50 on some bread and sauce. Terrible place, avoid avoid!

   When we arrived, the staff wasn’t friendly and were unwelcoming to me and my partner. When we sat down and ordered our food, we were waiting over 45 minutes for our meal whilst others who arrived after us had received their meals. When the meals finally arrived, the food wasn’t worth the wait, small portions and food didn’t hold flavour. Definitely not worth the money I paid. We was also seated in an area where both staff and other people were passing us as well as staff physically brushing past me which wasn’t very pleasant. Will not be returning.

   We had lunch at Pizza Express Croydon. I was happy with the quick service and the quality of food served (we had paneer tikka and Margherita pizzas). The paneer on the pizza was scarce. Ambience was nice. One major negative aspect was that there was no soap for hand wash

   It's easy to write a one star review. And you forget just how hard it is in the hospitality industry right now. We know how hard it is as we run one of London's, best brunch spot When we came into Pizza Express. Yes, a few tables were not cleared, but they were dam busy. Working understaffed. They were still greeting everybody that walk into the door including us and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. We look forward to returning back to this amazing piece of Express soon. Much Love team newman

   My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and desserts. Food was filling and very flavour some. I love the children's menu as it is well worth the money. My pizza was absolutely delicious! I do prefer the service in the evening as i have been there for lunch and found the service to be quite slow considering it was near enough empty in there. However, the food is always to a high standard
