A terrible experience. A girl spent 50 pounds on a meal that isn't exactly cheap in London. The only advantage was its proximity to the theater, but the food was truly awful. The beef in the burger was extremely dry and tough, and the spinach was the only edible part. The desserts were also very poor, and the service was terrible—the food took forever to arrive. Despite reminding the server multiple times that I had a play to catch at 7:30, they still brought out the last two desserts at 7:25. I had to wait nearly half an hour in between, and getting the server's attention was always a struggle—I had to call out many times before they noticed me. The desserts were also disgusting. The baked apple and pear were overly sweet and cloying, and the crumbled biscuits sprinkled on top were just strange. The pudding was a dry meat patty that tasted like crumbly tofu dregs, paired with an overly rich sauce. To make things worse, despite such poor service, they still charged a service fee. This was my worst experience in London. You might enjoy great plays and fun places in London, but I strongly advise against walking into a restaurant on a whim—otherwise, like me, you could end up ruining the good mood you've built up all day!

Fantastic afternoon tea. Great experience without breaking the bank compared to other afternoon teas in the city, with a comfortable, welcome, cosy but modern atmosphere. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the room wasn't too bustling even though it was moderately busy, and we were allowed to take our time and enjoy ourselves. I was particularly impressed at the Big Ben chocolate tart - the level of detail for ganache was amazing!

Really lovely staff. Let us linger and enjoy a lovely long lunch. They were just perfect,Food was just fabulous- still in a food coma from the amazing dessert! OMG - wonderful.By the way the smoked salmon was one of the best I’ve tasted- and generous portion.

Lovely welcoming and gorgeous food for our second time here. Small portions but delicious. I had steak and ale pie which came with mash but I wished I’d substituted the mash for beef tallow chips but I didn’t see them at the time of ordering. My partner had sea bass and fries (which were extra). You’d expect them to be included. The staff were accommodating with a birthday cake we took that with us that apparently we should have agreed with them beforehand but we didn’t know. We decided to go to the IVY the next day but wished we’d gone back to Brumus. The food was bland and generally awful. We were a party of 4 and we al enjoyer food.

We went for high-tea and brunch. The experience was excellent. Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating. I would say you can be very relaxed without feeling you need up-talk or get peoples attention. The food was great but not generous which I liked it was just right. The tea was splendid and fresh. I had a delightful afternoon with my family.

Lovely, lovely food and super friendly staff who were pretty attentive. The bar staff did appear to forget about moving us from the bar to the restaurant area and I did need to remind a couple of time but beyond that all staff were super friendly. The decor is of high quality too and really helped create a chilled ambience. Great location too. I hope we go back.

Things were surprisingly quiet for a Saturday morning in Central London but we were lucky to find this charming place attached to a hotel. The menu is perhaps not the broadest and the portion sizes slightly smaller than in a cafe but the staff are absolutely lovely and really make you feel at home.

We had a lovely "set meal" before going to the Theatre next door for the evening performance. The staff were patient and attentive. The food was delicious with good size portions. Felt thoroughly spoilt in a wonderful setting. We enjoyed our dining experience.
