ITS SHUT FOR RENOVATION….. and didn’t have the decency to update google, what does that tell you about this establishment… never again
Absolutely not!!! Cups and cutlery was dirty, there was bugs crawling in our food on top of the egg was a little uncooked And they didn’t even say nothing and still charged us the full price! First and last for sure and would definitely not recommend. I wish I took a video
A no thrills bog standard cafe, but does the job if you want a traditional breakfast. All the items on the plate were well cooked and it had an ample seating area too. As for the sauces, they had sachets instead of sauce containers which I prefer. Wide menu and generally ok.
Good fry-up breakfast, good coffee, served presentable and with quick service. Prices also reasonable for a London cafe.
The restaurant was spacious and in fact they had garden seating as well it seems. But when it came to the food, I ordered Mushroom Omlette with Chips and Baked beans. Omlette was literally either not cooked completely or the egg expired, because the smell was odd and the mushrooms were also kind of half cooked. Was able to have only because of the chips and baked beans. We then ordered Coffee and it literally didn't have enough coffee beans mixed well. Might be, this is how the dishes are and I didn't sort of feel satisfied.
Gem of a traditional café. The prices are great, it's never usually rammed with people, lots of seating and even space for me to leave my wheelchair up whilst I transfer into their chairs. Prices are good, portions are generous and the food selection is plentiful. This is one of the few places in Penge offering a nice selection of veggie/create your own breakfasts too.
I ordered a breakfast and the waiter didn't record what I had ordered. He gave me the wrong order. I told him so and he swear blind I got it wrong. I noticed the price difference of what I ordered and what he gave me was a difference of 50p more. The place should be reported. I had been a loyal customer for a long time and the way he spoke to me was abysmal. There were two lovely waitresses there and they left, now I see why. Will not return
I come here a lot, it’s a proper old school cafe with huge portions and cheap prices. Delicious quality food, so tasty and the staff are attentive and friendly. Love this place, I recommend the omelettes!
