   Overall, the food and service are generally good, but I was really disappointed to find that the saveloys have recently changed — the new ones taste very cheap and are nowhere near the quality you used to offer. I’d strongly suggest that the staff try one themselves and consider switching back to your previous supplier or another that offers a higher-quality product. If you do revert to better saveloys, please let me know, as I’d be happy to return as a customer (and remove this review). In the meantime, for anyone looking for good-quality saveloys and fish & chips, I can recommend Hardy’s in Sanderstead. Many thanks.

   Just picked up my chicken fillet burger for £6 and its absolute dog crap. Asked it i wanted all the salad like tomato's lettuce and I said yes everything please and only got lettuce. The fillet itself is worth like a £3 burger at best. This is horrible dry tasteless. Then to top it off I got the tiniest bit of mayo so burger is dead dry. Disgusting

   King Fish Bar in Croydon serves some of the best fish and chips around—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, prices are great, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Clean, quick, and consistently tasty—highly recommended!

   Drive past here every day since moving into the area. Thought I would give it a try. And did not regret it. Ordered rock and chips. The fish was cooked to order and was very fresh. And chips also were fresh and hot. I have no hesitation in saying it has been the best rock and chips I have had. Ever. Thank you so much. Will return as this will now be my local chips. Edit. Too many times I have been told no card payments which means I have to pop in the shop next door and use a cash machine that charges nearly £2 to use. And quality has slipped somewhat. Chips sometimes not fresh or hot enough regardless of busy times or not. The fish if freshly cooked is always good.

   We’ve ordered from here a few times as they deliver and it is one of the few places locally that does not use lard or beer batter. However, every single time we are left disappointed - stale chips, lack lustre fish; the batter usually my favourite bit but this just doesn’t do the job! I won’t say it is bad per se, just not good. Portion sizes are very generous. Delivery time decent! Also one time when we went in to order it was very annoying that the owner tried to pressure us to drive to the nearest cash point so we can pay in cash, it’s one thing if a cash machine is next door but to get grumpy because we won’t drive somewhere when you take card payment!?!? When we declined the gentleman serving us was very grumpy and short with us.
