I would highly recommend Eastern Palace. The food came from the kitchen at the right time, the right temperature, the staff were really welcoming, the atmosphere was very relaxed. We had the set Cantonese menu, very reasonably priced, we had two beers with the meal, it came to approximately £30 a head. The only difference I'd make might possibly to change the lighting, there's a cold LED slightly light blue light in the top part of the restaurant, but that's a very small thing when it comes to how incredible the food and the staff were. We will be back for sure.

I had the pleasure of ordering from Eastern Palace recently, and I can confidently say it’s the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in the area! The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. I decided to go for the Chicken Chow Mein, Prawn crackers, salt and pepper chips and asked to make the chow Mein extra spicy the dish was bursting with flavour. What impressed me the most was the freshness of the ingredients. You can tell that the food was made with care and high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even over the phone when I had a couple of special requests. If you’re looking for a Chinese takeaway that delivers not just on taste but also on quality and service, look no further than Eastern Palace. I will definitely be ordering from here again and highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine.

This is the first time I've tried Eastern Palace, the I chose partly as they had 154 reviews totalling 4.4 stars. After trying the food, it makes me suspicious that the reviews are truly authentic, as it was a massive disappointment for me and my children. I could not recommend this place. We ordered delivery, and the food came promptly, in 30 mins. I found the chowmein quite rubbery, the sweet and sour, was not sweet or sour, and absent of taste. You maybe able to see from the photos that the sauce was not like sauce, quite watery and a slight taste of oil. The crispy beef, which is described on the menu as being dry, was watery, and from the moment I took off the lid, did not smell very good, and after tasting a little, was definitely not crispy and tasted terrible. And gain, oily. Just moved to the area, so my search for a decent chinese takeaway continues.

Had a Fantastic evening with 5 of my friends for my 60th Birthday. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We all enjoyed our meals and had food left over so we took it home. Thank you for making my Landmark Borthday a memorable one.

My first time and last time....I would class myself as a connoisseur with Asian food, and know what iy should look like and and taste like...I orderd a take away with the lady saying there food is lovely and she guarantees I will be back lol, oh dear me one of the dishes was sweet and sour pork Cantonese style which I've had many times from many restaurants this sauce was a dismal brownish colour but initially when I took the lid off o could smell a medicine kinda chemical smell which really put me off plus the colour, when I tasted the food it tasted like the smell and come too realise it was the pineapple that was offf and when I realised when I put it in my mouth the taste was so pungent and stung my mouth, the curry sauce pot had a hole and by the time I got home the sauce had drained out the bottom into the brown paper bag,I can go on about the rest of the dishes but I will leave it at that!! As when I called too complain all I was told is what do I want them to do as I said I wasn't coming bk and it's my worst experience and a waste of £23 there lucky I never dined in, I would not of paid!@@@@

This place is a mixed bag for me. As you can see I have ordered from here a few times. My favourite spicy dish is the roast duck and green pepper in black bean sauce which gets a five star (around £6). Luckily it was the first thing I ordered and that's why I returned. Other dishes I have tried would get a 1 star unfortunately so I was going to write a separate review and upload separate pictures for that but I will do it here as Google doesn't allow multiple reviews. I would avoid the shredded crispy beef which wasn't crispy and full of too much batter and the Kung po chilli chicken was a disappointment (around £6 a portion each). Both of these dishes were overly sweet and vinegary. I can't remember the lamb and veg dish I ordered but it was decent not bad but not too nice either. What doesn't help is if you ask the elderly lady for recommendations she gets irritated. I ordered the special fried rice and would prefer a lighter fried rice rather than the dark chewy soy sauce type here or next time will order plain rice. The other delicious star item for me is the freshly fried banana fritters and the perfect sugar syrup it comes with (around £3). Very delicious.
