Visited 2 times in a week and came out with nothing. Clothes were bland and quality wasn't great. Seems to have gone downhill, in my opinion.
Good shopping service they need to bring back more staff to work on the check out rather than having self checkouts as some people don't know how to use it a overall good
Wen for some holiday clothes for my wife, but on the Matalan app a bit of confusing info, a discount of 20% offered if you spend £40, quoting summer ref at checkout, but only applies to on line shopping, both another Customer and myself thought checkout ref was in store, so a bit misleading Matalan. You can use your blue light app to claim 5% discount when you download the barcode on the app, but no signage in store to tell you this, again poor communication Matalan
I bought two duvet covers together from which i was not sure for the size because i don’t know why it does not mention the size on mine one. So i bought it and go back to home. After 3 days, i went again to the store and i purchased the bed spread and came back home it was not looking nice at all. I came back the same day and try to return the spread and try to change the size of the duvet i bought. The manager there refused saying that due to hygiene issues we can’t exchange or refund it. I mean seriously i just bought and open to check whether it’s ok for my bed. I am regular customer of the store. I changed so many things in different stores for a valid reason but not even single store behaved like this. I mean if i spent 40 pounds all together on both it’s my right to exchange it if i don’t like it after opening it. Opening thing doesn’t mean I used it especially when i just bought it the same day.
Staff are absolutely useless! Bought some toys. Same thing just a different character, one scanned more expensive than the other, so I explained they were both price marked at the reduced price. So they sent a member of staff to check… She came back and said they are different prices, I questioned is this marked at the higher price, she replied yes. So I went back to check. What do you know that higher price is nowhere to be seen! She lied!! I had to take.a picture to prove it to the till assistant! Absolute jobsworth! Won’t be visiting here in a hurry again!
Good location and parking however as others have previously stated; certain staff held conversations on two occasions with other colleagues whilst I was being served. The manager was at the tills both times and seems to condone it.
Horrible service! This Asian woman that worked there kept pointing at us and talking about us to her colleague! Terrible behaviour!
Called today, the worst service I have ever seen, staff talking to each other, even though I was ready to be served, very slow at the till and I mean slow,I have never seen some one wrap clothes so slow ,I will not be using matalan Rochdale again
Horrible customer service! Asian woman who served me was talking to her colleague when serving me and ended up adding an extra item on that I paid for (not sure how!) I realised as I walked towards door and had a look at receipt. I went back and they made me que up again (while with my fussy toddler) Another lovely girl served me, she called the Asian lady over (one who had served me previously) to check it. Asian lady accused me of having done an ‘exchange’. I explained that is not what happened. She checked items and said the same thing to me again- accusing me twice! She then told the girl serving me to give the refund and walked off! No sorry or anything! Shocked at her lack of professionalism and how rude she was! Staff need training. Put me off from shopping there!
Item(s) tagged a couple quid cheaper than it scanned at the till and been same way in this store for a while and staff are pretty clueless when quizzed... Are some of your items priced/tagged not showing vat? Example 12.50 tagged jeans scanned at 14.00 (whole shelf of them was tagged 12.50) beware if your doing a big clothes shop it could be costlier than expected .... 3 stars as even with the extra cost incurred its still fairly cheap just double check prices before leaving.
