Absolutely spot on little Italian restaurant me and my wife are so glad we had the opportunity to go and eat there (twice during our glamping stay). Mario was very friendly to us. (served me a proper coffee!!) We will definitely be back to let our Gluten intolerant son and vegan parents enjoy your vast array of foods. Keep up the good work guys! Thank you.
I liked u meal but my daughter and husband didn't rate theirs. Quite a long wait almost an hour. But staff were really lovely and a beautiful place
We were going to the theatre in Bacup and we had gone for some food at our usual venue, but unfortunately it was holding a wedding so wasn't open for dining So glad we found this little gem, it was early about 5 30pm and Mario's had just opened, we hadn't booked obviously, but there was still a large family table and a few customers already in. Our server Tom, was very helpful and polite, we told him we were going to the theatre and he said he would mention this when the order went through to the kitchen Large choices on the menu, we chose penne Carbonara and Calzone carne pizza with a tomato sauce , drinks Chardonnay and Peroni, food came quickly and was delicious, by this time the restaurant had become very busy. We don't usually have a dessert, but we decided we had time and we had creme brulee and cheesecake with caramel sauce Unfortunately there was only 1 creme brulee left as we both ordered it, but Tom came and apologised and offered an alternative, we were a bit puzzled because it was so early they had run out, but maybe they were busy on Friday evening. Please consider this Italian it's a bit out of the town centre but well worth a visit, recommend booking at weekends we were lucky on this occasion, and the free parking is a bonus

Valentines meal out and as always had a brilliant night. Food was amazing and all the staff friendly and attentive.
We have been to Mario's several times and have never been let down by the food choices, taste or quality. Portions are very generous and the dishes are very authentic. The building was a tad cold, but we were there just after opening, could have done with the heating on an hour or so beforehand to feel a tad more cosy.
It was within walking distance, prices were very reasonable but the food was outstanding!! Very delicious and very Italian. Mario was very gracious and personable. Best food I've eaten since being here in England.
