Had take away order of chicken chettinadu and it really makes me think that why the restaurant is named as south Indian restaurant. The oil was too much and The taste was not giving a chettinadu flavor and it was sweet . Really disappointed

First time into this restaurant, many vegan options, all is clearly listed on the menu, what contains dairy or meat: i highly recommend this place, great service and friendly staff!!
Navaratna never disappoints! The chilli idly is absolutely amazing—bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. The dosa is equally enjoyable, and the menu offers a fantastic variety of options to choose from. Always a pleasure to visit this kind, family-run, award-winning restaurant. FRESH TASTING FOOD A cosy place, with a good amount of spacing between tables. The food was as fresh as it could be and tasted delicious. I had a Mutton Chukka starter which had a good chilli kick to it. The Kadai Lamb was a flavourful dish too. I’d say that this kitchen offers a variation of the usual Indian Cuisine and I welcome their ideas. The staff were friendly and I would definitely come back to try more of their food. Toilets were clean & tidy.
Visited this place for first time and this restaurant proved to be very authentic Indian food. Chef customizes the food depending on how you need it and so this was freshly prepared and well made. Definitely one worth visiting if you are around Croydon.
Navratna hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for a close family member. They were very generous in accommodating us on a Monday (when they are usually closed). We were given the entire restaurant and facilitated early entry allowing us to decorate and re-arrange the seating. Food was lovely as always and well presented despite the larger number of guests. The chef and staff were very attentive and polite throughout and served with humility. Navratna provided a memorable evening and we are very thankful for their hospitality. Highly recommended.
The food was authentic South Indian. Service was good and food was delicious and good potion size too. A very intimate and cosy space. The mango lassi was one of my favourites
Delicious! One of the best south Indian restaurant in Croydon. Excellent vegetarian starters and some really delicious dosa with coconut chutney. Must try.
