Our family favourite Indian for near 30 years. Never fails to impress, simply the best in the area. Consistently delicious!

Absolutely exceptional. The best takeaway in the area, and probably one of the best in London. Delicious food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. I visit here every 1-2 weeks and it's always delicious food. As a vegetarian there's a wealth of options (which I am slowly working my way through trying).

Memis Tas ★★☆☆☆
Lamb tikka very poor quality meat, chewy and a lot of nerves I just chewed and spat it out. It is consistently poor I’ve been buying food from here for 10 years and they never seem to be able to get this right, other things are very good like the chicken tikka and rice variations, it’s amazing how they can’t get the lamb right. With the other food, there’s a lot of inconsistency in taste, but most of the time it’s good. Onion bahjees were not cooked properly.

The food is consistently good but, sadly, the service is becoming consistently bad. Yesterday we ordered an "asap" delivery only to receive a call to say there had been a mix up. The food arrived 2 hours and 10 minutes after we ordered. And the time before we specified delivery at 8.15 pm and it arrived at 7.45pm, before everyone was ready to eat so the food all got cold. This place is not cheap so it is especially disappointing that the service has become so unreliable. It really takes the shine off treating yourself to a curry.

Having eaten at Babur in the past & thoroughly enjoyed the food, we decided on having a takeaway delivery. It arrived promptly, but unfortunately was not up to the standards in house. The 'marinated for a 100hrs' lamb curry with beetroot rice, was quite fatty, bland in flavour & with a watery sauce. The lemon with cashew rice was not exactly 'lemony' & minimal cashew nuts. The rest of our £60 order was fine, but, the containers were a nightmare to open without causing a mess on the table. Plus we couldn't reseal them to save what was not eaten for later, so inconvenient.

Have little complaint about the food, and find it affordable - especially their veggie tali. But if you order delivery… be prepared to wait up to 1.5hrs and have it cold on delivery. I called after 30 minutes of waiting and was told it would be at my door any minute. 20 mins later I call again and they tell me it will be a further 20 mins before my delivery arrives. It arrived cold at 9:30pm after ordering at 8:15pm and being flat out lied to about it arriving at 8:45pm. Moral of the story - pick up the food or be prepared for a long wait.

Only for takeaways, so no atmosphere needed, but the food is the best of its kind locally. The Railway Curry is first-rate.

Been getting great takeaway from here for years. Recently my favourite recipe (lal maas) seems to have changed a bit from its addictive heights, but other dishes are available...

Definitely the best curry house I have been to. The food is good quality and has better quantity then other curry houses I have eaten at. Great place to dine I would advise you to try it.

We have been getting deliveries of their brilliant food for three years now and each time the quality is consistently excellent and the delivery is always prompt and friendly. The are great for vegans as their menu clearly states allergens in all dishes and there are plenty of vegan/veggie choices. Would highly recommend.
