I've been buying from Golden Hill for years but tonight what they delivered was disgusting. Over-cooked / burnt chips & the pork balls had a thick, chewy & stodgy batter, the pork inside was like chewing old rubber. Everything we ordered went in the bin, not even half eaten because it was so bad. No I won't be ordering from here again
I tried a lot of Chinese but Golden Hill never let me down I’m a regular Customer…Chow Mein & Banana Fritters with Golden Syrup to finish off can’t go wrong.Don’t knock it till you try it!
This is my usual go to Chinese and will not be ordering anymore. My order was 1 hour late, didn’t get my order correct. Having a pineapple allergy they packed sweet and sour chicken with pineapple chunks in when I ordered chilli chicken, they put black bean tofu when I ordered dry salt and chilli tofu and also chicken chow main when I ordered plain noodles. For the money I payed and the faf with time and incorrect order I’m disgusted
Been ordering here for a few years now and the food has been consistently amazing. Hands down one of the best Chinese takeaways in the country, I’m seriously constantly impressed.
Food is soooo fresh and amazing! It’s definitely my new go to place. Super affordable and the staff is always so nice! The containers don’t leak like most places and the portions are nice too!

Very great Chinese :) was very pleased with my quality in the absolutely delicious food I had received will eat again only let down was the chicken wings which is not the usual crispy coating I’m used too but overall 5/5
This was a wonderful chinese takeaway- the best I’ve had. Everything was piping hot, so delicious and well packaged for takeaway even though we had a large order for 10 people. They were also really good with updating on when the food would be ready, and even gave us freebies which was very kind of them. Very pleased and would highly recommend to anyone!
We order from here a lot and usually the food and service is good. However ordered today and was told 45 mins but an hour later no delivery. What got my back up was when I rang politely to check there was no apology, explanation or anything but just told it would be another 10 minutes. I'm still waiting for the delivery but probably look for another local Chinese going forward as very disappointed with the service. Yet to see the food when it eventually turns up!
