   I always look forward to a Bar Burrito, so I was excited to grab one today. Admittedly, I went around 6 p.m., so I understand staff might be getting ready to close — I also work in hospitality, so I get it. But even at the end of a shift, standards should still be maintained for customers, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case this time. The staff themselves were lovely, but the food was the real letdown. The rice was rock solid — like bullets — and had a strange, crunchy texture that just didn’t taste right. Everything was stone cold too, which made it even less enjoyable. For £12, I expected a warm, fresh, and satisfying bowl, but instead, the lettuce was brown and didn’t look fresh at all, which is disappointing considering they pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients. With so many other options in the food court, it’s a shame this meal didn’t live up to expectations. If I’m choosing to spend £12 on a bowl of rice and veg, I expect it to be both fresh and enjoyable — unfortunately, this just wasn’t.

   Absolutely fantastic service—clean, smooth, and a total joy. Big thanks to Mai, who was an outstanding server, and her colleague (deepest apologies for not catching the name!) who handled my grain allergy so carefully and thoroughly cleaned the counter. Great job all around!

   The beef burrito was quite nice. Fresh ingredients and a nice selection. I ordered the "Signature fries with Chipotle mayo" and got a measly tray of boring chips for £3.25, I had to go back and ask for the Chipotle mayo since it didn't have any on. Would maybe have the burrito again but not the chips.

   First time for me not my husband though. I felt rushed and the girl looked like she couldn't be bothered with me and not advising me on the ordering process just kept getting eye rolled when asking questions. The food was not to my taste and they didn't have chips they said it would be 20 minute wait. My husbands wasn't wrapped so when he opened it everything fell out leaving him to have to eat with a plastic knife and fork. They advertised a £6.95 wrap which is what we both asked for but was charged £21 for both wraps as they were offering cheese and sauce however no one explained these are charged more...either that or the 2 drinks cost £7.10. My husband said it was nice when he went a few years ago but definitely gone downhill. Wouldn't eat there again.

   Awesome burritos and great service. I’d gotten 2 or 3 Too Good To Go bags from here before but never actually ordered then and there from the counter. Katie served myself and girlfriend and I reckon she could tell it was our first time ordering there, mostly due to how I either took a good second to answer her questions or answered her completely wrong. Either way she was very patient with us and definitely put us at ease as first timers. Options to choose from your burritos is great, both our burritos were really nice and I was surprised just how much filling there was and it was still able to be wrapped up. They also do 20% student discount on food & drink which is always a plus. Now we know how to order thanks to Katie I’m sure we’ll be going back.

   Amazing find in Pevensey and western. Homemade tea treats aplenty. Everything is made fresh. A great quirky proper teahouse find. We will definitely be back for a 2nd visit. Best to make a reservation in advance as it does get busy at lunchtime.
