   We were on holiday in the area in the middle of October this year, (2024) and decided to get a takeaway from Golden Country, and I can honestly say that it was the best Chinese food we'd both tasted in years, if ever! We only waited 5 to 10 minutes and it was hot, very well cooked and very tasty! We would thoroughly recommend anyone to try it and the price was very reasonable too!

   This is Chinese takeout only. I usually avoid it as it's full of additives. This is one of the better ones and I have it occasionally. The food is "cleaner" than other Chinese takeaways, tastes nice, service is quick.

   Disappointed in them. I spend 80 pounds a month with these guys, they missed two items off my order tonight and said they wouldn't do anything to help me, found it pretty funny. Talked over me on the phone, said it didnt matter that our food would be cold. That 80 pounds wasn't a lot. Well, it is to me, a Chinese is a treat, I'm glad they think 80 pounds isn't a lot of money. Making a fortune from taking payment for food they don't include in the bag. Avoid.

   First class. The food was some of the best we've ever had from a takeaway, the portions were large, the quality was phenomenal and the prices are reasonable. Wish we lived nearer.

   TL;DR: A decent takeaway that actually cares about avoiding covid. Food: Good! (it could be a full five stars for all I know; I've not been to any incredibly posh eateries before). Service: A bit slow (not that I blame the staff at all). Menu: Extensive for such a small place. Prices: Average. I agree with Sam Hodgett's review -- partially because this is the *only* takeaway I've visited since quarantine started (and ended). It's the only place I've found (after a fair bit of searching) that **actually seems to care about covid**: their staff all wear masks; they limit customers to two at a time (well, they *try* to, but I don't blame them for not wanting to confront the meatheads who flaunt the rules); they've even built a barrier between them and the customers, with windows for money and orders. Don't think I'm giving a good review just because they're the only takeaway taking precautions; the food itself is great, and the man often at the front keeps a good mood despite all the demand of serving so many people with so few staff.
