Ordered the set meal for 4 people and its a lot of food to be honest. it’s actually for 6/7 people instead.
I ordered a chicken massaman curry for delivery. Paya's description of their massaman; "A mild curry cooked with coconut milk, potato and cashew nuts and flavoured with cumin, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg." I've eaten this dish many times from other restaurants and this was the most disappointing version I've tasted. There was no coconut, no delicate spice. Won't be ordering that again. On a positive, the order was delivered quickly.
I've been going to this Chinese for years, when I moved house I was so delighted to see they still delivered to my area. Outstanding food always!
Quality and plentiful food. Reasonably priced. Speedy delivery. 1st time but wont be last. I had chinese and my partner had thai. It was splendid.
This was always our go to place for Thai/Chinese takeaway and always worth the wait. Ordered tonight for the first time in 6 months but it was a massive disappointment. Not sure what has changed but the sauces in both the massaman and Thai red curry were gloopy and flavourless, very different to the dishes we’ve had from there previously. Please go back to your previous recipes!
Sweet and Sour Chicken was very tough, the sauce was Sour. Broccoli stir fry prawns was just drenched in a syrup sauce, way too sweet, Chicken Sweet Corn soup was ok, prawn crackers were acceptable. Other dishes were mediocre.
Ordered 4 items to be delivered. I ordered singapore rice, nasi goreng, deep fried prawns and peppercorn squid. 1. They sent singapore noodles instead of rice 2. The onions in the singapore noodles were huge. I tasted more onion than meat and noodles. 3. The curry paste in the noodles was not even mixed propaly. It was very mild in taste and then in the bottom i was able to see the curry paste on the noodles 4. Peppercorn squid. It was like chewing gum. Little twigglet shapes and just chewy. 5. Nasi goreng didnt taste like nasi goreng at all. It taste like some bad chilli oil had been mixed. Definitely wont be ordering again
