I believe Kin and Deum is a brother and sister-owned restaurant - and the owners take a decidedly modern approach to classic Thai cuisine. We arrived without reservations on a Sunday evening and managed to grab a table. The decor is unfussy as is the menu. There are the classic Thai curries of course, but elevated. There are also some new classics - such as nutty spinach - which, from my approximation was lightly battered spinach leaves, fried until crispy and then layered with a spicy peanut sauce. I can’t recall the whole menu but the coconut-milk based soup with prawns and mushrooms - was sensational. As was everything that followed. Forgive my rather scant review - and go check it out.

Kin + Deum offers a warm, cozy ambiance paired with genuinely friendly service. The Thai-inspired dishes are flavorful and thoughtfully presented. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with rich, balanced flavors that really stood out. Desserts were a delightful surprise—light, creative, and satisfying. It’s also dog-friendly, making it a perfect spot for pet owners. A great choice for casual dinners or catching up with friends. Highly recommend for anyone seeking comforting food with a modern twist.

Really delicious Thai food and generous portions. Each dish had so much flavour and the meat dishes were so tender. Standout dish was the grilled honey tamarind spare ribs and the mango cheesecake. Service was friendly and the restaurant itself was spacious, would recommend booking ahead as it does fill up in the evening.

Amazing food and really great service. Went as a group at lunchtime, booked for 2pm but their kitchen closes shortly before 3pm and they accommodated a large order at such speed but didn't compromise on quality. Would happily go back again, the food was amazing. Curries are definitely right size for 1 person so we ordered multiple to act as sharers but all come with plenty of rice.

Total score: 65/100 One of the better Thai restaurants in London Micro ratings Location: 8/10 Interior design: 4/10 Cleanliness: 6/10 Macro ratings Food (flavour and presentation): 20/30 Service: 15/20 Price: 12/20 Conclusion: In all honesty, it did exceed my expectations. The food was fairly flavourful and decently presented. We got a good selection and I would actually go back to try more dishes. We paid around £110 for 4 people. Highlights were the starters for sure: Lotus butterfly flower rolls were delicious and a good vegan option. I don’t usually enjoy fried food as much, however both the garlic squid and Siams aubergine were very well prepared and super tasty, so i would highly recommend these three dishes. Every Thai restaurant i go to, i always have to try the pad Thai. And my verdict was: It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it wasn’t the worst. It was well spiced but the tofu was hard and there wasn’t much in the dish. I’m also disappointed that sticky rice wasn’t on the menu.

Had dinner here with a friend. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Service was somewhat absent minded forgetting to replace the cutlery after collecting it with the starters. My friends meal arrived with no sauce. Staff’s attention was hard to attract. Wouldn’t rush back.

Pleasantly surprised this time. I had heard good things about this place and they were right. The place is nicely decorated, plenty of space on the table and between tables, clean and tidy. The food was pretty good. We got 3 starters and a main each, with complimentary prawn crackers. Very tasty although the portions are a tiny small for the starters I think. The portions for the mains are correct. Taste wise, everything was really good to be honest and also the staff was very polite and attentive. We didn't get any drinks or desert and ended up paying £20 each which is reasonable for London standard. I would totally recommend it.

The Thai Milk Tea and Thai Coffee are highly recommended. Although it is not a sweet as typical. The starters: chicken and squid dishes are both fried with an average rating. I had a Prawn Green Curry, although to me it tasted pretty standard. Nothing special where the jasmine rice which comes with the dish was also under done. I expected more from this place.
