I am being here every week with my friends. This have a really good environment compared to any other bars or arcades i have been to. The service they provide is soo good. A special mention to zach, jules, Rhys and owen who were really friendly and they are a big reason for us to comeback every week to have a pint and chill with the pool table. The prices are also better as they have student discounts which is so appreciated.

A genuinely disappointing experience at Bierkeller this weekend. Our group (around a dozen of us) came in to just have fun with company, and enjoy the games, food and drinks. The bar was busy, loud and lively, exactly what you would expect from a venue built around arcade machines, pool, darts and social drinking. What confused us is how suddenly the atmosphere changed. One friend celebrated getting a high score on the punching machine. It was nothing aggressive, just excitement. Instead of any staff member approaching us, communicating with us or asking us to keep the volume down, we were simply cut off from ordering drinks without any explanation. Then, while we were playing pool on a table we had paid for, the staff switched the lights off on us mid-game. Still, no one said a word to us directly. No warning, no conversation, no β€œcan you tone it down?”, nothing. Just silent actions that came across as calculated and honestly quite disrespectful. We weren’t causing trouble. We weren’t shouting at anyone. We were just happy. And in a place designed for groups to have fun, it was shocking how little communication and professionalism was shown. If the staff had simply spoken to us, we would have understood instantly. Instead it went from 0 to 100 with no explanation at all. At that point we felt uncomfortable enough to leave. This review isn’t to attack anyone personally, but to hopefully encourage better communication and customer service in future. People go to a bar to enjoy themselves. Being excited shouldn’t be treated like a problem, especially without a single word said to us. Fix up ya rarse! A little communication goes a long way. Silence and passive-aggressive behaviour only drives customers out the door.

Let me articulate myself better since the managers reporting my review...Warren you need to start managing your 'Rowdy' customers while you're present at the venue instead of using your staff as sheilds and telling them to stop serving us after we spent how much and after waiting to go home and then tell the staff. All over 1 guy who was loud when he was using the punching bag, like duue what do you expect!?...Warren doesn't know how to manage at all and your toilets are abosultely disgusting! No toilet roll, had to ask about 3 times. Anyway enjoy your dump full of underage kids who spend nothing. Yes literally 14 year olds were on your premises

Horrific experience. Booked a table for 15 weeks in advance to eat, drink and watch the Champions League matches on a Tuesday night, something my group of friends do once a month at different venues to get together and have been doing so for the last 3 years. This has been the only place we have walked out of before kick off. The offer of half price pizzas and Β£4 Madris being one of the main reasons, which turned out to be false advertising as there were no pizzas being sold as they had ran out of them on Saturday. This should have been communicated beforehand and when I explained this to the barman, he didn't have an answer other than it's the advertising team that deal with that, so obviously a lack of communication there side. On top of that, we were told that the only things they could serve were Frankfurters and Wings, so some of us ordered accordingly. At 7:55pm, some of our group went to order their food to be told that the kitchen was closed. When I queried this with the same barman, I was told that the kitchen is really small so they can do food but it would take 2 hours to serve. How ridiculous. Almost as if the kitchen had suddenly shrunk and our party of 15 had just turned up and they were having to deal with this on the spot. Another of our friends went to use the self-serve Guinness, to be told this was out of order also. The lads who had paid for food got their money refunded after cancelling their order and we walked out 30 minutes after arrival. Will not be returning and would recommend others follow suit.

Booked here for my husbands birthday, a group of 16 and stated in the booking not everyone would be playing pool. Unfortunately 4 of our friends couldn't make it. And instead of charging us Β£40 for the people they charged us Β£50. They have stated that only 11 people turned up when it was in fact 12, one left as one arrived. The place was absolutely dead, all 12 of us spent money on food and drinks over the 2 hours which was well over the Β£50 they have charged me. We also paid Β£40 for the tables. They updated there booking terms and instead of being able to use the additional money towards food and drink , they now charge you a no show fee, unless you amend the booking 7 days in advance. Honestly life happens and 7 days in advance is not reasonable, it made absolutely no difference to them with 4 people out of 16 not turning up. They are just greedy and rude. The customer service is rubbish and we will not be returning.

Devoid of any bierkeller charm, atmosphere or beers. A couple of bottles available but thats it. This is a snooker Hall and sports bar. Bang average. One drink and left

If you like bad cabaret acts and want to enjoy a mildly xenophobic evening full of 80s style jokes and watered down alcohol. Then this will be great for you.

This is a review for the "Bierkeller" which we've just been told doesn't exist outside of Saturdays and specific events - despite posters and online ads that promise "after work social" from 4-8pm Monday to Friday. Actually this is a sports bar "Shooters". To say we're disappointed doesn't quite cut it. This place looks great if you want to watch the football and play a game of pool - there are loads of TVs and pool tables. Its a very large, open room with minimal seating. Be mindful of the "Bierkeller hype" because aside from some vague posters, there's little evidence of it here. Stick to pool, darts and football - and save your Oktoberfest expectations for Albert Schloss.
